I use movabletype, and it has been a great blogging tool for me. Everything is controlled through templates, so it makes very easy to edit the look and content of your webpages.
In regards to comment spam, i have had some problems with it, but a great plugin that i found called mt-bayesian , which uses a bayesian algorithm to catch spam. on my blog it has worked very well, effectively stopping all the spam that i get and not limiting my users who post to me.
I have not seen any polling plugin, but i do not think it would be to hard to make one (or to find one)
The other blogging system that i tried was b2evolution, an open-source php blog. my experience was that it was a lot more work than MT (not just moving files) and that it was oriented much more towards communities - it expected to deal with groups of blogs and interactions between them, unlike MT where each blog is unique.
So i would recommend MovableType, but i haven't really tried all the availible options, so i don't know how much my 2c counts.
definately the best pen that i have ever used is the uni-ball vision elite. very fine point,.3 mm, and an amazingly smooth ink flow. the ink seems to jump of the tip, and for those of you who are like me and never put any pressure on your pen, this is the one for you. they are cheap too- a pack of 3 for $8.
definately a pen to have as a backup pen, but i find it best to use everywhere because it is so light and portable that i can always keep it in my pocket and rely upon it.
I think that even though this is a major step for the RIAA it does not completely solve the problem. Unless the RIAA finds some way to decide whether or not a certain music file is pirated or not they will have a hard time distinguishing your "legal" music from its illegal addons.
i dont think anyone is prepared to give up their complete collection of music, however large it may be, because of a few files that the RIAA suspect are pirated.
Maybe some people dont want to have to interact socially, and messaging your colleague from five feet away certainly severs all social ties. And email is now such an important part of our lives that we use it to exchange information almost as much as we talk face to face. Without email, a good part of the business of any company would immediately be halted due to lack of communication.
Using instant messaging also a more convenient and faster way to interact, although it will never measure up to a real conversation.
