In related news, Boeing is recalling it's 747 and later series aircraft because of a condition they may experience after the low-fuel warning has gone off. If operation continues, the aircraft may have a harder time handeling turbulance, eventually crashing to earth. Also involved in this recall are all pre-747 aircraft.
Just read the box. All the HDs I've bought come in boxes that say "A megabyte is 1,000,000 bytes." Given, they are older hard drives. If anyone is worried, they can just cat/dev/hda | wc to be sure.
I mean, maybe this means I can sue my sister for giving me the flu? Honestly! When a company just had the crap beat out of their IT division and they've already lost a lot of money, do they really need a fine? And what happens when it hits government offices? Blaster took down a train system in Pensylvania.
But you're still not secure between the client and the proxy as far as network transport is concerned; plus, you've got all your keys in one basket. Furthermore, it seems like they are assuming that everyone will have one of these things set up. Is it so transparent to the people that can't read the email you send them?
Hey, IANAL but maybe they'll let me on the defense team. It looks like Edward Felten has some sort of grudge against Microsoft since he started consulting for law firms. He's been involved with the DOJ's antitrust case as well as freedom of information (like DeCSS) cases against the software giant. I guess he's willing to take whatever he can from them..
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a plugin essentially the same thing as OLE, which has been around since before Windows 3.1? I mean, OLE does stand for Object Linking and Embedding and it was developed by our friends at Microsoft.
Doesn't the GPL just lift a restriction placed on the number of duplicates that people make by Copyright Law? That isn't breaking a law -- it's extending it to allow more rights. Doesn't a Copyright holder have the right to give up some of his freedom for the freedom of others?

Now they just need GPS and Gameboy will rule the world, plus he'll know where he's at within 3 ft.
Maybe they should sue Microsoft.. everyone else is.

Just imagine the volume of bandwidth they're going to pay for because of mistyped domains. Maybe when that *.com site is /.ed they will rethink this..
