    Oh man that's really classic. It says that tiny iron particles in your CDs get spun inside the player and create tiny electric fields that interfere with your gear. Awsome. I'm pretty sure that a person's electrical field is many, many times larger than any field produced this way. That's right all you audiophiles, if you leave the room your music will sound better than ever.

    Yeah the worst part about those booths is that they don't take coins. In Europe coins as large as 5 Euros are really common so when you get back home you might have $20 or more of European change that you're stuck with.

    Who is to say that as laptops become more and more popular the market won't standardize on different form factors thereby making upgrades more feasible? As to cost, as sales of nearly anything increase cost tends to decrease.

    Visible light interferometry is damned difficult because of the small wavelengths involved. Also, even though and interferometer gives you the same angular resolution as a similar sized single element telescope it doesn't give you the same sensitivity to faint objects because of the smaller overall surface area of the objective. Plus, really big telescopes are inherently cooler.
