correct me if I am wrong - are'nt you one of the co-authors of the Y-Windows specification? Just curious...

A google search for Linux returns 90,700,000 results while windows returns 94,300,000 results. Just a matter of time before Linux beats windows - maybe a month or two. BTW, Does anybody have info on what the statistics were a year back?

Here's what google says now when you search for b - Results 1 - 10 of about 347,000,000. Search took 0.09 seconds.
BTW, nice signature.
That's great for a start. Atleast somebody is concerned now. But does this mean that the FUD will stop now atleast for a few days? Maybe not. I wouldn't be surprised if Darl comes out with something new tommorow once he sees that the stocks are below $12 again. I hope the SEC will do something to shut them up as well. BTW, watch out for more internal trading as well soon. What stops the FBI from raiding them? Or is MS pulling some strings to stop that from happenning? Just a wild guess anyway.
Way to go - Telstra has about 20K desktops atleast! That makes me jealous now. And I was feeling proud that we have switched 300 Desktops( and about 10+ servers) to Linux at my place in the last 3 months.
Is anyone working on a prototype for this already? How soon will it be before M$ tries it's embrace and extend strategy to obfuscate the protocol. Lets see...
IBM can collect more data on worm traffic and help decide how to bring Billy Goat to market...
Will Billy Gays,er Gates, now sue IBM for illegally using his name to make money. After all TIBCO sued Apple on Friday for using the term Rendezvous!!
You said...it is quite difficult to choose something else under Windows...
I disagree. Eg - I just tried an evaluation copy of TextMaker today and it opens Word files almost as well as..er Word itself. Has somebody used Textmaker on Linux yet? It's available at http://www.softmaker.de/tml_en.htm . I bet the Linux version is better than OpenOffice Writer.
Guess what, I got started with Linux 2 months back with a DVD which came with a magazine. It had RH 9 and Mandrake on it. All I had to do was copy the iso to CDs and I was on my way. Sad I cant get Debian/Suse for free here in my country. If only somebody with lots of cash(Oracle/IBM ??) would spend some money and do some carpet bombing of Linux!!
But how come the same rules dont apply to MSN. Here's what I got on www.msn.com for a search on Kazaa Lite -

Double Standards, eh?
When they can do it to Google, one of the most popular sites in the world, what is the guarantee they wont do it to the smaller guys. Is this the beginning of the end of free expression/speech? *shudders* . This is really a very sad development:-(
I just added my signature to the growing list of supporters (only 29000 signatures though) for freedom of speech/expression... Might hit 100k soon with some decent slashdotting:-)
Kazaa actually has been downloaded 278 million times from download.com itself, the last time I checked :-)
