IDK about you, but i have a 22" 1080P samsung display and from arms length, I can see the pixels when the screen is white. Okay to be honest what i'm really seeing is the tiny spaces between the pixels leaving some sort of weird pattern.
I won't be happy with display tech, until I mistake them for windows. Same goes for your 3d volumetric display. I'd better be able to be fooled into thinking the things it is showing me are real.
Care to show me a weapon that works that is non-lethal 100% of the time? otherwise please use the term "Less-Lethal". I'm pretty sure that even pepper spay can kill someone.
the only reason the Tesla got any attention at all was because it looked like a sporty Lotus!, had it looked like the current crop of retarded looking square boxes and it wouldn't of batted an eyelid.
That is because the roadster is just a Lotus Elise with batteries and electric motors.
wait, i thought the EPA cared about CO2 levels more than NOx levels? where as europe cared about NOx(acid rain and monuments don't mix) more than the CO2 levels. I also though tuning combustion processes allowed trading one for the other for the most part.
hmm my car from 1999 does ~35 driven nicely and does 30 being flogged around while I pretend that it is a VW GTI... No batteries to dispose of (or make for that matter), no new plastic parts to make, etc etc etc. Anyways, I get 300-400 miles per tank(12 gallon not ever driven past 10.5 gone). I'm betting if it was the manual trans version instead of the 4 speed slushbox, and I actually tried to hypermile it, I'd get it above 40MPG. So gotta love the 15MPG gain for 10 years of progress...
What are my choices for more than a 2 GPM per year gain in fuel economy? the volt(if i could plug it in at my apartment), and the tesla roadster(again apartment)? Heck I even looked at motor cycles hoping the lower weight would help out, but those are hard to get at over 50MPG as well and don't work so well in the winter, or for taking the kid to school on.
you get a loaner car... ever see anywhere offering a loaner bike? Also how fast can you bike 16 miles into a headwind during a snow storm (think inches of snow an hour sort of event)?
I would love to bike to work, it's just that well i can't be bothered to bike 32 miles a day rain or shine. I'd be lucky to make the trip in in an hour, and even that would be pushing it. Here that is plenty of time for it to decide to rain, even if the forecast says "sunny no clouds in sight"
You would have to be shorter than my 5 year in order to not be above the rear window line in my car... Perhaps mandating lower rear windows is a better idea...
I looked into doing this for my cards, but found out that android will not import contact info directly from a QR code, the best option is to link to a vcard, and the user can download that and then import it. So like 6 clicks to do that, I was hoping for "scan code -> "would you like to import this contact Y/N" -> Done"
google googles can read QR codes, not sure which permissions it needs, but as google already has access to my contacts, I'm not sure i care about that one.
Really as a user, what I would like is a "Verified by Google" program. Submit your app to google along with $5, google takes a look at it, and says, "yep doesn't do anything sneaky, etc" and gives it a filterable attribute to the app so I can see only those if I want.
Maybe it should be $20 for the first submittal, and $5 for updates, seems like "git diff old_app new_app" would work well enough to simplify the looking at updates a lot.
crank up the bit rate a watch how fast you use up your cap in just a few movies (think a blue-ray, watch 4 a month and check your e-mail and you are done.
how about making the military buy any bombs over lets say 0.5 ton through a fundraiser, and give that money to NASA. I'll still fund the ammunition, bullets, cannon rounds, tank rounds, etc, just nothing that goes "BOOM!" Allow the military to petition for funds to buy a bomb on a case by case basis (This would really be "justify the use of the bomb they did use so as to get money to replace it", not actually have to get permission to use it, or the lead time to have one built.)
I think the military could still do their primary objective (defense of our country) without most of the explosives.
Granted there are propbably some loopholes that would need to be addressed in the above, but you get the idea.
they way it is my dvd rips into h264 level 4.1 high profile can't be played on the apple TV without being re-encoded, making them unplayable on my ps3... grrrrr.
The autos have an issue with reverse slam, but the manuals are rock solid. That said, anytime the engine comes out replace the clutch, even if you just did it 30k miles ago.
I'd go one step farther and stick to only colors that start with "c". coral, cyan, clover(maybe?)

so the sign should say "God hates small white robots that search for plant life"?
I'll be 52, I think I'd like a few years past that... So I vote we sort something out, we'll need it later anyways.
Even if it does, here in the upper midwest, I'm sure I won't care much...

Jetta Sportwagon TDI comes to mind 30 / 42 city/hwy. The touareg TDI gets 19 / 28MPG city / hwy which isn't great, but isn't a hummer either.
You forgot Kia's plant in Georgia, USA.

How do i verify that the dev is being honest?

What if my device has no GPS? what happens then? how about no 3g/4g/lte radio and therefore no contacts?

right but a fair number of the E-350s are fanless and only consume 18W for the whole board. That's not even close to that A6.

low bitrate 1080P, at the base profile... crank that up to ~30Mbit video and level 5.0 high and watch it not work any more.
1080P h264 could mean just about anything btw. I wish more people would realize how broad of a codec h264 is.
Care to tell me which GM platform the S series was built on? Right, after the S series is when saturn effectively got axed.
The autos have an issue with reverse slam, but the manuals are rock solid. That said, anytime the engine comes out replace the clutch, even if you just did it 30k miles ago.
wait which year and model saturn? I find my 1999 sw2 to have almost nothing in common with a GM car... now the later vue's are just a rebadged GM...
