There's no doubt there. I recently purchased a book that was reviewed fondly here on./ and noticed that all the reviewers on Amazon were RAVING about it; every review had 9 out of 9 "this review was helpful" ratings. Then I read the book and found it to be utter garbage, so I wrote a review detailing why it was not living up to the reviews or promises. Within a couple of days there were 9 people saying my review wasn't helpful...but there weren't 9 MORE people saying the other reviews were helpful(they remained at 9 out of 10)...just that mine was unhelpful.. I'm 100% certain the reviews were rigged. I don't dare reveal the book for fear the author has mod points...
They use ergotamine tartrate for migraines and from ergotamine you can easily derive lysergic acid.. The link is pretty clear...lysergic acid .
On top of this, I think I remember a similar study in "LSD: A Total Study" which was published a LONG time ago. I think they determined that LSD at 1/10th of a psychedelic dosage(about 10 micrograms) would perform as a great analgesic for migraines, and analesics were what Hofmann was looking for originally.
Question: Who can tell me what the "S" in LSD actually stands for? Difficulty: No search engines... You either know this or you're guessing.
They *claim* to only do exact image searches based on the data found in the file you are searching for but what I've discovered is that their search is a bit more intense than they let on because I've searched for images and have found images that might only match 50% of the file I was searching but were most definitely related to that image. I've also found images that weren't remotely related so I'm certain they have something else going on that they're not telling everyone about.
No, iCloud Communications can dispute the trademark by showing they were using the term first. I think they have up to 8 years to dispute. Look at the "Lennon" trademark fiasco a few years ago. Some unknown singer whose first name was Lennon tried to trademark the name and Yoko Ono had to snatch it from her at the last minute after seeing how she had manipulated the system. Yoko had not filed for a trademark previously but was able to take it since the Lennon name had been around longer than the singer...
IIRC they attributed that to the Roe vs Wade ruling since an unwanted child had a much higher chance of becoming a criminal, etc. The only cite I remember for that was in the book Freakonomics I think but there are probably many others.
I was somewhat incorrect in my understanding(it wasn't actually poisonous but rather resistant to weed killers) but it was indeed considered potentially unsafe due to hormone levels....
"Odd that they don't simply spread their message by not buying these types of food."
Problem being, at some point there may be no other type of food than these. I'm not 100% against GM foods of any sort but there is a real concern that any cross-breeding(which maybe some consider "forcing" it on them, I'm not sure about that though) will result in an entirely unsafe food supply and I can understand that seeing as how there's that corn that was supposed to be the answer to everything that they're now discovering retains its poisonous attributes even after being cooked. If you realize how much corn is in everything you eat, you realize why some might be concerned to act out like this. Again, I'm not saying it's right or that I agree with either side but there are valid concerns.
Yep, they just sealed their fate, at least as far as any future phone systems I might install. I had been delaying buying chan_skype for Asterisk since they hadn't made it advanced enough to handle some of my needs for Asterisk but now it looks like I just saved myself a whole lot of $$$, and redirected even more that would have gone to Microsoft. I'm really glad they made this decision for me now rather than later.
KDE is a lot better than Gnome 3; that's for certain. I had been using Gnome right up until this release and now I find Gnome completely unusable for my needs. Their "simplification" of the GUI was the worst idea I've seen in ages, and they don't even allow for a way to switch to the old way of doing things so I was forced to switch to KDE, which required some getting used to but overall was configurable enough to somewhat duplicate my previous environment.
This needs to be modded to +11. If only the music, movie, software industry would figure this one thing out...we're willing to pay but we're NOT willing to mortgage our houses for a bunch of ones and zeroes that will be next to worthless in under a year.
Nope. See my post above this one. This is a massively flawed analogy. Most parts are 3rd party, not OEM. For over 25 years I have been buying parts and repairing cars on at least a weekly basis and in all that time I've only *had* to buy parts from the OEM a handful of times(maybe 5-10 times at most). Hell, it's more likely that I'll need the field service manual from the OEM than any parts.
Bad analogy. Most car parts you find in the parts stores come from 3rd parties, not the OEM. If your car is in warranty then you'll likely get them from the dealer who in turn gets them from the OEM but that's usually as far as it goes unless it's a "dealer-only" item in which case it's also a part that rarely breaks or is hard to reproduce otherwise(the control computers being a good example) and while those do bring in a decent profit when they're needed, they are rarely needed often enough to justify your statement.
About 2 comments up for yours here is a guy who gives a link that shows that Sony transmitted the CC numbers in plain text....so perhaps Sony has been, I dunno, lying.
You do remember that amplifiers(aka "range extenders") and cantennas exist, and work both for sending and receiving data, right? You might want to rethink your security measures a little..
I wish they'd get it right for once. Christopher Columbus wasn't looking for "India", he was looking for Hindustan.

And we have a winner! You win +1 internetz.

Have you looked at the sad state of patents these days? If so, are you sure you're wanting to go with that?
Yet they'd never be more than one IR cut filter away from a lawsuit.
And then someone below posted this which appears to be where Freakonomics got its info from....

I tried XFCE but it must not be well configured on my end cause I couldn't get it to do much. I'll probably play with it more in the future though.

I can vouch for this, and I have the added benefit of saying that I've done so in multiple aspects of the publishing, and printing processes.

Or is that merely filing a takedown on false pretenses?
You have to do a LOT more than just drain off the diesel. Most of the time you will want to have your entire fuel system flushed.
