The current rovers can travel, in expected conditions, an average of 100 meters a day. The mission is expected to last 90 days. Multiply them, and you get 9 kilometers. They won't go that far, but it's impressive range. Where do you get these 'facts', anyway?

Yes, this is real. You can actually control your own rover through the web, and see live images. These aren't replica's, but made of lego's to drum up interest in the "Red Rover Goes to Mars" bit sponsored by The Planetary Society, a group over 20 years old that advocates space exploration and planetary science, founded (in part) by the great Carl Sagan.

As an Israeli computer technician, I see what everyone uses here. 95% (maybe more) windows. almost 100% office. now Israel's government is in a major budget crunch, and is cutting corners everywhere. Other corners cut: Handicapped support (not enough to live on now), public health benefits and so on.
as for the claims that MS office doesn't support hebrew, it depends which version. Every copy you can find in Israel will be "Hebrew Enabled" which provides FULL Hebrew support, including great help files and even the interface.

I would, but the computer in question is 30000kilometers away (Jerusalem to Baltimore). The problem was also a while ago (March 2003) and thus wasn't OSX 10.3. You seem to understand the issue completely. Here's what I know: We called Mac tech support (in a pay call, btw, she payed for prefered service I believe), and after 20 mins on hold while the tech looked and looked for a solution, we were told that they just 'don't support' it. Ah well. We went to a local library (for nice win machines), and my cute 3 year old nephew (cheers to Kevin! ;) got a book which I read to him that night. He kept assuming I was done and turning the pages. a good time was had by all, except a morning wasted looking for fixes...
