You know, that has to be one of the most well put statements I've heard in quite a while. I do think a lot of people forget how much we do as a country to give aid to those less fortunate in other parts of the world. And what do we get for that? People of other country grip and moan about us. Our government is certainly not perfect and they have made some decisions which are questionable, but it is unfair to lump us all in the same boat (just as in any other part of the world). Sorry for the soap box moment

I found, when looking for work last summer, that the local job sites (in Philly the best ones seemed to be JobCircle.com and PhillyJobs.com) where the best in at least getting interviews. No matter where you look though, all of those sites seem to be lurking with headhunters. Just my $.02

I hate to say this, but that's pretty much every company out there. Once one company seizes upon a good or innovative idea, others will follow with their take on it. This is also how products and ideas are improved upon. Microsoft is not doing anything that any other company isn't trying.

  10. Just move on on Replaced by Outsourcing -- What's a Geek to Do? · · Score: 2, Insightful

The worst thing you can do is overanalyze the situation. That's not to say you can try and learn something for the events that happened, but the best thing to do is just move on. A similar situation happened to me and it really got me down, but I stepped back reframed everything and realized it this probably was a good thing since the work environment I was in was really going downhill. It sucks, but keep your chin up.
