How can you even site failure to protect the boarder, but flip flop like a Massachusetts senator on the eavesdropping as a means to secure the nation during wartime? It's the sniveling groups like this that ignore the fact that we are at WAR(!!!!) and whine about Karl Rove setting them (again, and again) rather than doing something about the WAR(!!!). Here's some cheese!
How did this debate get spun into impeachment and an "I hate Bush argument". I thought we'd all agreed on that point long long long ago? How did it get here without anyone first siting the articles, paragraph etc. of the constitution, bill of rights, etc. that define US Citizens are guaranteed the right to privacy in any circumstance what so ever from any branch of government during wartime? Shoot which President was it that was reading mails coming home from over seas...? FDR? I forget...

This is what I use and I open up port what ever on my router to allow me to stream my music to me at work or where ever. SlimServer has a great interface to listening but you should set a password if you open the port or else someone will be downloading you collection and the RIAA Mafia will be after you. Although SlimServer is good you ID3tags must be set to use the random playlist generating feature.
Specs:

Apache hosts 5 sites {Alternate MySQL DB server}
I think you all need to give the NSA "Illegal" "Domestic" wire tapping a rest. How come you can be so ignorant and biased; get so mad over this but not when your best buddy Clinton did it to the world with (Echelon)? You can't have double standards like that to be truely a liberal. Do some research come back tomorrow and we can play again. Class Begins 8:00am PST!
Nice comment! Very well put with all the facts out there. If you're going to criticise don't be a hypocrit when someone take you (uninvited) advice! LOL I Love It!
I currently work for the largest Gov. Contractor in America... lets just say I put in notice based on my current salary.
I was given tasks outside my job description b/c I had the skills, but without compensation for those skills because they were outside my job description. This circular logic is ever present at my work and I just couldn't tolerate the low wages, lack of appreciation, and sheer neglegance and waste when dealing with tax payers dollars.
How can someone that claims to support out troops, the ones who raid home in the dead of night and abuse women, but not the war... speak negatively about a propaganda machine while siting sources like Aljazeera? WTF? How completly backwards can your logic be? I think if there is an ounce of reasoning in their you did yourself and all liberals an injustice by not supporting your point with credible facts.
Yes I see this a ton in my line of business (Gov. Contracting) and it is absolutely offensive when you know more than the life longer with the company on the other end of the phone in the tech support department. Or have to explain basic Network Security concepts to 20+ year Network Admins!!!! You woulnd't happen to work for the big dog of gov contrating would you? LOL
More than this I find that the older elitist are discriminitory against young employees bring fresh ideas to the table to make small changes. I am not sure if they fear the change or are insulted that a young employee is basically suggesting that there way isn't the best any longer.
I went with a RAID 5 on 8 x WD 80GB ATA-100 Drives on Fedora Core 3. It was fast and about the size you are shooting for, although little room for expansion. My issue was that my power supply didn't provie enough power plugs. So being a cheap skate I bought Y-spliters to adapt. This caused a few of the drives to crash as a result of shorting. My issue was that that RAID mounted on boot, when the RAID crashed I have no flipping clue how to get Linux to activate the RAID 5 functionality to restore the drive(s) from the strippings.
This might be something to consider, also find out how to use RAID 5 under Linux/UNIX and practice a fail over before putting critical data on the RAID. Nothing like feeling totally safe until the inevitable happens and being up $4!t creek.
I thought I would post how I use mine. I didn't buy the hardware because I am a cheap skate, but I did down load the software since my place is wired in ever room several times over. Upon noticing the port nubmering I wondered if I could, instead of creating and hauling CDs/DVD full of MP3 to the office to listen while I work, configure my router to route traffic to the server and listen in from work. This works flawlessly!!! I just type in http:////steam.mp3 and it is up and running. All I have to do from here is queue up music. There is even an option under the "Sever Config" link that allows you to password protect your stream and server, which I did.:-) No me and my friends can listen to my several different streams at the same time, unless your work blocks media files (.mp3) you can too!!!!
I agree that sometimes the laws are a bit extreme in the US when if come to Copyrights. For instance the 3 years in jail felony for downloading a pre-release movie is a bit extreme. I think a fine would be more appropriate.
but on the other hand, some of these kids that are being fined only had like 433 songs. What happened to "The RIAA will only sue 'major' contributors to copyright infringement"? I thought they defined that as at least 900+ songs.
It isn't balanced in either direction. The punishment often doesn't fit the crime which I believe is some where in US criminal law.

It isn't like that could just use an intermediary like Pay-Pal.
Two words CLINTON & ECHELON!!!! The left is just looking for another reason to be the "haters" they claim their not.
