I agree totally. Everyone I know that plays The Sims (including myself) is female. Most of the guys I know despise it, or at least think it's pretty dumb.
What I enjoy about it is the ability to control things about a life that isn't mine... like, it doesn't really matter what you do, you can always not save and just start again... can't do that IRL.
I wonder if it has anything to do with that "mothering" instinct (ie you have to take care of them, etc etc).. that females are "supposed" to have..
Also, most of the clothing that you can d/l is for the female sims... so it's almost like playing with dolls or playing house.
anyway, that's my 2 cents...
