Before you do that, you might want to check out the verizon droid
A decent processor!
I think the current available phones have a 520mhz processor. The Android software seems to run at an accetptable speed (since the os was updated to 1.5?) but I imagine any apps would be limited by the speed of the processor.
droid should have a 600Mhz ARM Cortex A8 processor and dedicated GPU
A camera flash!
I do not understand why many of the phones contain a 3 or 5 megapixel camera but no flash!
droid has a 5mp camera with flash, and they claim to have a "low lightcapable camera", although i'm skeptical about that one.
A physical keyboard!
I know this will add bulk to the phone
and a slide-out keyboard in a phone 2mm thicker than the iphone
Besides the fan-made patch (which works pretty well for me), you can make the auto-saves more frequent - edit the AutoSaveInterval value in CivilizationIV.ini.
The patch is being discussed on civfanatics.com also. It seems to help a lot of people.
Ironically, the most frustrating part of gmail for me is their search feature. The search is almost useless because it doesn't support word stems - if my email has the word "cows" and I search for "cow", it won't find it.
I don't understand why they didn't just apply the full google search algorithm to gmail. Having the "Did you mean?" feature from google would be useful too.

That doesn't mean anything without knowing how well your spambayes has been trained. Spambayes filtering depends completely on each user...
I haven't had any legitimate mail (including my gmail invite) put into my spam folder by spambayes ever since the first couple weeks I used it.
(My spambayes currently has 1057 good and 1061 spam in its database)
I have a couple of the single-fan controls that dangle inside the case - they're made by zalman. They basically just have a knob that varies your voltage from 5v to 12v. I found them at sharkacorp.com and plycon.com"> Both of those sites have a other components for noise reduction also...
