Um... no. The GPL makes things free as in restrictions. There is no freedom in sight.

Hey, dumbshit. Is a resctiction on restrictions also a restriction?

    No, it isn't.

a quick and merciful death (lethal injection, Glock to the head)?

The justice system will NEVER be perfect. Stupid, biased, and bigoted juries will ALWAYS say guilty until proven innocent despite how the system is supposed to work. Best to have their arrogance have as little affect on its victims as possible.

I'm sick of seeing Apple getting blamed for just doing their job -- developing better software.

Didn't microsoft say something similar when they were trying to defend having IE intergrated with the OS?

If you think that your statment is any different then you deserve a glock to the head.

  6. Re:where do you want to go today? on Windows Media Player 9 for Mac OS X Available · · Score: 1

Why don't you just buy the CD then? You get a higher quality product for only like 2 extra bucks at most if you don't shop at expensive record stores.

Much less if you buy used, most of the time beating the price of iTMS.

I realize that it's the convenience thing in iTMS that everyone loves, and the fact that you can get one song off an album without buying the whole album. Of course in those cases I think you need better taste in music because if one song is worth buying but the rest aren't the artist probably is trash. This is the kind of bullshit that makes me want to put a Glock to the head all those whiny lazy fucks.

  7. Re:Wah! Wah! on Comparing Online Music Offerings · · Score: 1

Sorry, but building your own gun from scratch as opposed to buying one is not even remotely comparable to buying a CD from a store as opposed to buying an AAC from iTMS.

Try again stupid fuck, or instead of replying, please just place a loaded glock to your temple, hold your breath, and squeeze the trigger. Then you won't have to worry about replying. To top it all off, there will be one less complete fucking moron in the wrold.

But with a CD, I have to go to the store buy it, return home, and rip it. Or wait until it gets delivered to me if purchased online.

Poor little baby, wants his music now can't be bothered to have to FUCKING WAIT a little bit, or put EFFORT into something. Got to have that INSTANT FUCKING GRATIFICATION!

    Grow up.

Or better yet, just blow your brains out with a glock. We need less people like you.

  9. Re:One problem with ITunes on Windows iTunes Sells A Million Songs In 3.5 Days · · Score: 1

There is no such thing as fair DRM. And the fact that you can bypass it so easily proves the fact that it is worthless.

You people sicken me. This post is absolutely correct and yet you label him as a Troll and completely ignore what he has to say. "Just another dissident, he disagrees just for the sake of disagreeing." I cannot believe the ignorance of the majority here. I cannot believe how the majority rolls over and takes the abuse. But the part that disgusts me the most is how whenever anyone tries to say how the majority is wrong, they are instantly ignored without even being considered. That level of arrogance is unacceptable. This poster is absolutely correct; DRM only hinders paying customers. Anyone determined enough to pirate is going to burn those files to a CD to bypass it as I've read in countless posts over the months that iTMS has been criticized. Do you not see the stupidity of your own statements? Are you so programmed and blind to think that you know what the DRM is for? Honestly I have no idea what the true motivation behind the DRM is, unlike many people on slashdot I am not naive enough to make such assumptions.

You people won't listen to me, however, you've already proved that by modding the parent troll. I will probably share a similar fate unless you people open your eyes and just think for a minute. You should not be lying down and accepting, you should be outraged and resisting this movement of oppression instead of just saying, "well they won't ever give us what we want to I'll take whatever they will agree to give me." A line that I've been hearing all too often in the form of, "Expecting legal downloads to ever be completely absent of DRM is completely ridiculous." When did you become so submissive? Are you giving up? You make me sick, why don't you take a loaded glock and dispose of yourselves, since people with your attitude are just worthless bags of wasted flesh and gray matter.

This is a WAKE UP CALL!

THE FIGHT FOR FREEDOM IS BEING LOST!

    And no one cares.

  10. Re:JUST LIKE A LINUX NUT on Apple Releases iTunes for Windows · · Score: 1

I like it just fine, as it gives me evidence that you are an idiot.

Not quite, you see what the grandparent post was doing was calling the great grandparent poster a faggot since the great grandparent poster poster had called the great great grandparent poster a "a pimple faced Linux zealot" when in reality the great great grandparent poster used Windows 2000 as stated in the post in question. Clearly the AC was trying to illustrate how much of an idiot the great grandparent poster by using his own tactics against him.

Apparely you are the idiot here since you were too fucking dense to realize that.

Now do us all a favor and put a glock to your head and remove your stupidity from society.

  12. Re:Your flawed argument on File-Sharing Ethics Taught In Classrooms? · · Score: 1

You can't make that call -- not legally, morally, or ethically.

Who the fuck do you think you are forcing what you believe is "moral" or "ethical" onto other people like you are some kind of guide or something.

You sicken me with your holier-than-thou attitude and the only solution for you is to take a Glock place it to your head and pull the fucking trigger. We don't need any more evangelists like you. We've got too many as it is.

If an artist isn't making any money off their fucking album, that is their problem, not mine. If they were too fucking stupid not to sign with a label that was going to rape them, they get no sympathy from me. Any artist worth the skin they reside in will make their real money of concerts, you know things that can't be pirated because they can't be stored or copied. Any people who download their music and enjoy it will attend these concerts.

MP3s are not physical property, copyright infringement is a civil offence, not criminal. Get that throught your fucking head right now. You can't "steal" a copy of a song. When you download a MP3 the total lost too the artist is zero. In fact they might have actually made money in an indirect way by getting their music to another listener that may eventually buy something from them that the listener otherwise wouldn't have. Narrow minded fucks like you and the RIAA can't see that, however.

Am I the only one who thinks this is COMPLETELY FUCKING BACKWARDS? Sure, I agree that the ones only use the bandwidth for websites should be given faster burst rates but fuck, they should not have all that bandwidth be wasted on them. Get this through your fucking heads people: bandwidth is a non-replenishable resource every second that it isn't used, it's wasted.

The fucking ISPs of this country need a fucking Glock to the head, maybe then we will get some fucking service instead of just being fucked around.
