Its a real shame what is happening to public school education and it must be fixed. The problems run all the way from school boards to the current federal administration. The digital age is the first opportunity since the beginning of humanity for people to educate themselves, for teachers to learn from each others experience, and all types of new and unexpected ways and means to inspire kids to venture outside their comfort zone to be excited about learning more. The education process SHOULD suck less. In every country.
Learning more is one thing but - learn more about what? Do you like the mathematics side? The puzzle solving side? The graphical user interface side? developing new technology? making useful things? The only reason for continuing your education is if you think computer science is too broad - which it is. What do you aim to do in the future? This will tell you what to concentrate your masters studies in. Read some relevant papers and talk to people who are successful in fields you are interested in - especially people from other universities and other disciplines - to get their views before deciding if this is who you want to be working with for the REST OF YOUR LIFE.
For a minute there I got all excited thinking that Google had taken Wikipedia as a dataset and applied patterns in Antonin Dvorak's music to Wikipedia's usage and editing patterns to find the most interesting parts. Oh well. These are the open questions.
My opinion of clip art is low. I think it would be better for everyone, designers and engineers alike, if there were more automatic icons created by the owners of the information. For example, each museum, person, or collector of any type could have their own icon automatically applied to each image that goes out over the web. It would show copyright but better than a watermark, the icon tracks could help see the diffusion of image use AND would improve the appearance of the icons by having them designed by hand or whatever is neccessary for it to be the right type of icon.
