Doom 3 Engine is OpenGL, not direct 3D. Quake 4 runs using the Doom 3 engine, and also thus also uses OpenGL. I suppose the reason they require a "100% Direct X9.0c compatible 64Mb" videocard as the minimum is because any videocard that supports DirectX 9.0c also is physically capable of supporting OpenGL, t&l, and the various shader unit extensions that the Doom3 engine requires.
Its good. So good, I'm not even 100% sure if it's Sci-Fi yet... but it definitely gets me thinking more than any Sci-Fi thats been on TV in recent years.
That, and the camera work doesn't give me motion sickness like Battlestar Gallactica.
In don't know what the green party is like where you're from, but in Ontario, the green party is nothing more than a conservative puppet party designed to divide leftist votes. Sure, the NDP has made some mistakes in the 80s, but they are not the same party today that they were in the 80s.
In a electoral system such as our own, voting for a party you know will not win does not make sense. I don't care if the party will get $$1.75 federal dollars per year for your vote to promote itself in the next 4 years. They're not going to win the current election because there is a staggering amount of people who will vote traditionally, or based upon who's going to benefit their pension in the coming years.
Voting for fringe parties will only make sense once a voting system like run off voting is implemented. Until that time, a vote for a party that does not have a chance to win IS A WASTED VOTE.
How much exactly did a man lay go for back then?
If queer as folk taught me anything, these days it's about the cost of cover for the club, and the time it takes to walk to the back room.
we're all idiots, but you're fucking clownshoes.

Flat rate... interesting. How much do they pay you to read and post on slashdot while at work?
I think the show "LOST" would fit your bill.
