I do not think it matters if there are 3000 other drunk drivers wrecklessly speeding down the road when they stop one of them from doing the same.
I do not understand this argument where just because others might be bad people or people of concern, all bad people and people of concern should be ignored.
I difn't say the romans documented the old testament but the ancirent processes in which the passed it along. As for failing in event if natural disaster, you can say they did it religiously. You have to remember that they it was god punishing them.
The courts have long ago recognized the right of sovereignty over the constitution in matters of entry and safety to the borders of the country. It is why border searches are considered constitutional. While the principle was first applied to searching the cargo of vessels in our ports for taxable goods and smuggling, it has came down to personal possessions and people.
But congress does have the ability to regular immigration and if they give a border agent the ability to impose their judgement, then as long as it is a foreign national (as congress has the ability to regulate immigration), the equal protection clause wouldn't apply. This is similar to passing laws allowing the EPA to make regulation or DHHS to wing it on Obamacare.
And yes, this is sort of asking what the meaning of the word "is" is, but it isn't unusual to anything else in our history.
Since when has mental depression met those conditions?
When three of the latest mass murders that happened in the US was due to people with mental illness. It is not statistically likely but it could become highly deadly given the failings previously.
Kids today seem to think shooting the messenger is proper debate and proper debunking of any message carried. Get with the program and get off my lawn.
I think if we gave just about anyone over 18 with a slight knowledge of computers $2m + $3m they could go to school, learn what is needed and get a system up and running better then what we got.
That is one of the problems with the expense here. With what was spent, you could have picked high-school kids with little programing background, sent them to college and did better in about the same time span.
Which has precisely nothing to do with anything I've written. Have you crossed your wires, and think you're responding to someone else?
I'm not sure if you are trolling or what. Did you not post this statements in response to my claim that CEO pay included bonuses?
There's no reason for you to come to that conclusion, as there was nothing previously about the make up of a rewards package. By all means introduce the subject of rewards not always coming in salary, but don't pretend you are uniquely aware of this everyday fact.
I've already written in a comment elsewhere that different elements of a rewards package can already be evaluated for tax purposes. It can equally be evaluated when working out a maximum wage ratio. "Wage" being informally used, in quotation marks, to mean the rewards package.
It certainly appears so. The point was that when labor organizations say the CEO makes X a year, they include those reward packaged in that number. They are not separated as the link I provided from one of the largest union groups shows.
Then you accept my point that large companies get tax breaks small companies don't. Specific example, Cupertino gives tax breaks to Apple. As part of the agreement for permission to build their new campus, they are reducing the size of the tax break, but there will still be one. Such tax breaks are not available to a mom & pop shop setting up there.
I already said those tax breaks existed which is why I also said you brought up nothing I didn't already capitulate to. Now, such tax breaks may be available to a mom and pop shop setting up shop there but a mom and pop shop generally has reasons for doing so outside of tax concerns. The reason for the tax breaks is entirely because of the location's government wanting the advantage, not the company. The company just benefits from their advantage. Otherwise the local governments wouldn't offer them.
I got this the same way we know Napoleon lost at waterloo or that the civil war happened or that anything else in history happened. There has been investigations into it, the history was documented, distributed, and objections noted. We have fragments of writings dating back quite a long ways too.
Believe it or not, we know quite a bit about early religious people of all religions. This is even true when there is not written documentation surrounding it available. Everyone in the tribe was expected to memorize the scriptures and recite them- a tradition somewhat carried on in Jewish practice to this day. Part of their social standing came from their ability to do so. We even have roman literature describing the Jews doing so.
When dealing with historicity, yes, that is often the case. Especially when dealing with something that has been passed around and discussed so much that objections to it should be well documented and understood.
Now, I'm not saying the bible is a fact, but given the circumstances, it appears to be more of a truth then a work of fiction the author claimed was fiction.
My wife left me long ago because I was touching the neighbor when her husband was away. We met online and knew each other by online identities and the neck down for a while until we pieced things together enough and figured out who we were.
I would argue that the woman is free to decline the offer for promotion or job. They can leave at any time and work somewhere else. And if the sex is freely given, I can understand it being different just like if you marry the boss and get promoted to the vice president of being cute or something. What I see when I see prostitution though, is generally girls down on their luck with little ability to earn an income other then selling their bodies. A crack whore for instance will because of her/his addiction do all sorts of things they wouldn't normally do to get their next high or even put food on the table because they cannot function at a real job.
That's the problem I have with prostitution. Not everyone is that way, but a sizable number of people have little to no other options. Selling their bodies might not even be because of addiction but lack of opportunity or something else that if it did not exist they wouldn't have done so. Sexual harassment in the work place is often the same where women feel they have no choice but to comply and at least most of us agree that it is wrong to put a person in that position. I just cannot separate it from prostitution where it appears a lot of people wouldn't be involved in it if they could satisfy their financial needs other ways. Then again, some may simply enjoy the sex but I think the real problem is discerning between the willing and the victims of circumstances.
If the boss is the owner of the company, he can tell you to wash the car. Whether you do it or not and have legal remedies if you are punished is another story.
I guess the point I was looking for was that it is degrading to women. The thought of a woman having to use her body in order to get ahead in life or to just survive shouldn't even exist. It should have to exist in any work setting and it shouldn't exist outside of it either. I find prostitution to be little different then sexual harassment but different to some degree. Even when its to the benefit of the woman.
Thats very interesting since brake fluid is specifically designed to have a high flashpoint and deal with lots of heat. It sounds almost as if ford never heard of a fuse either.
But even if this is 100% true and accurate, it doesn't relate to the tesla because someone actually investigated tje problem and ford actually did something about it (recall) other than complain about bad press and pointing to other car fires to justify it qs common or not as bad or something.
Let me ask you something. If it is as simple as she/he just wants your money and you just want their bodies for an hour, would it be wrong for a boss to demand he gets laid before promoting or even hiring a woman? How about when they want a paid vacation? Please ecplain why.
Nah.. its a matter of mariage. If your girl looking at porn before shagging you doedn't bothrr you, you probably don't have the image of monogamy in a marriage that the vadt majority of people do.
It is also often an emotional blow when she gets older and realizes you need to look at other women to satisfy yourself. It seems you have a different concept of marriage then most- or most in the US
At least you got to talk to someone. My experience consisted of automated forms and links to other sites with absolutely no confirmation that something moved forward or not.
There is no better feeling than telling your boss that the rootkit found on his kids laptop that he uses to babysit the kid when he brings her in was behind the problem and you think maybe the problem might be getting fixed. Its kind of like poking a sleeping bear with a bee hive taped to a stick and wondering if the stick is long enough.
It is a bit more dificult then that. Suppose the hacker in question is the help desk drone you gave access to in orrder to fix the system. Suppose the vulnerability is little more than me who was dating your daughter until i found her with another guy and until then, i had legitimate access. You will never know how it happened and most likely lack the ability to find out where emissions can be measured with a device you can hold in you hand.
Anyways, the fine is a bad idea because it will lead to approved software from approved only venders else you will be fined. Worse yet, it will subject you to fines for zero day expliots where no fixes are availible.
Nicw use of a spelling issue to reinforce you bias. The problem is you don't know if it was made up or not. And while my post chopped everything up with spelling (posting from phone) you seemed to be unable to grasp the concep and brought up the ecact opposite of what i tried to say.
So let me do it again. The stories did not change much if at all when orally passed down because every males was expected to memorize them and recite them in public. If someone got something wrong, he would be corrected
Sigh. Its like you simply do not know what you are talking about and refuse to listen when it is explained. When CEO salaries are reported, they include the values of the bonuses and benefits. Go ahead and look up what they clain it is. The site i posted is a union arguing exactly what the topic is and they do it specifically.
Also, you listed nothing about tax breaks i didn't already list like location. Aa of offshoring profits, small businesses can do the same if they operate the same. It is not a tax break either. But if you think it is a problem, then wouldn't make mlre sense to change the tax code then attavk the CEO?
We do know that the way it was passed down limirs it distortion though. All men were required to study and know each story and when the repeated one wrongly, they were corected. The social status and hirarchy was determined from this to a large degree.
So yes, it was oral and it may have changed slightly over the years, but it is unlikely to have changed significantly or materialy. It was nothing like you reviewing a book or movie and me writing my classreport from your review. It is more like me reciting lines from it and you along with everyone else flipping pages or rewinging the scenes and grading me on being correct.
I do not think it matters if there are 3000 other drunk drivers wrecklessly speeding down the road when they stop one of them from doing the same.
I do not understand this argument where just because others might be bad people or people of concern, all bad people and people of concern should be ignored.
Then it appears I misunderstood yoi ad my point was that bonuses and stock option values are already part of the reported salary.

GM did go bankrupt. Unless you think they should do it again but bankruptcy was part of the bailout.

Not if your intent is to offer access to dissidents in oppressed countries.
I can see a lot of uninrended consequences.
