A few years ago, some researchers found that with ohio's electronic auditing system, that you could reasonably determine who cast a vote based on the time it was cast and the order it was recorded.
Their fix was to obfuscate it and not make some of the information availible. Ohio still has a paper trail brought to us by a bunch of activist early in the switch to the electronic machines (my district had it from the start). In the review section of casting your ballot, it prints in paper in a window and you verify the screen and paper reciept with yout vote then select cast to record it or discard to start over.
I find that to be a reasonable system.especially now that i can get in and out in less than half the time it took in the 90s.
I mean you would have a point if they actually followed it but if that was the case, we wouldn't have all the NSA spying, the IRS being used to stop dissent, or the post office with their own swat teams. In fact, a lot of things would be different if the constitution was followed and could actually help terrorists.
Don't know about Islam but a few teens recently got into s lot of trouble over posting a video of themselves dancing. I think it was iran- but a google search would say for sure. Posting from my phone so i'm not going to bother at the moment.
A good majority of small transactions are never caught or challenged. Credit card thieves figured this out a long time ago when card skimmers and the internet came about. People don't really pay attention like they should.
First, the cop had a job in a quiet town that paid very little. That right there tells me he wasn't at the top of the class at the academy. He's likely one who bearly skated through else he could have had a better paying job in almost any larger city.
Second, why would he be scared when he pulled next to him. All he knew at that time was they were obstructing traffic with their jay walking. As i already pointed out, once the jaywalking turned into someone trying to kill him with his own service weapon- that is when he got scared. You would be too had someone surprised you and tried to kill you. And whether or not Brown did try to kill the cop is irrelevant because we are going off the cop's point of view or interpretation of events.
And you have absolutely no clue if the cop was racist. I'm not even sure you understand the meaning of that word either. It certainly does not default to racism simply because of the color of skin involed. You would think if he was racist, there would be creditable evidence concerning something in his past but there isn't.
So yeah, to recap, the cop most likely wasn't the best cop out there. He more than likely made a lot of mistakes including killing brown. And yes, i laugh at your insistance that racism had anything to do with it. The cop was poorly trained, incompetent, became scared and over reacted. It isn't more than that.
Who said ferguson was about any senate race? It is being used in them though, someone is distributing flyers in minority neighborhoods claiming if republicans are elected, those neighborhoods would turn into Ferguson.
However, right about the time ferguson happened, Tavis Smiley was blasting about how the black community has suffered under this administration, about how the hopes for improvement were shattered, and how many blacks feel taken advantage of. Along comes ferguson, you have armies of outside protesters move in with the race baiters- mostly from chicago and boom, Eric Holder via Obama and all the sudden the adminstration cares again.
Maybe Brown had been playing too much GTA. I cannot even pretend to understand all of his motivations. But we do know he robbed a store and would likely be facing jail time. Perhaps he just though the jail time would have been pound me in the ass penetentry time?
I didn't say it excused anything, i said i can see why/where the cop was afraid for his life.
Make no mistake, i belive this cop was in the wrong but not because of any ill or malicious intent. I believe he was scared out of his mind and acted on that fear when bullshit jaywalking stop turned life threatenting.
What on earth would make you say something like that? Everyone who isn't blinded by ideology knows that Ferguson is a mountain made out of a mole hill for political reasons and ratings. Shit like what happened there happens all over the place with at least three incidents i know of happening after it and no one is excited about them. Ferguson just happens to be in the right place to muster the troops so to say.
It has nothing to do with anyone's citizenship and everything to do wiyh motivating the right people to the polls. We've already seen the flyers claiming some are will be turned into ferguson if certain people are elected.
The cop had no idea about the robbery at the time of the shooting. He was reprimanding them for blocking traffic by walking in the middle of the street.
The perp however knew he just robbed a place and that probably drove his action to attack the cop and try for his gun. I believe the cop had reasonable fear for his life because without knowledge of the robbery, the actions seem like that of a crazy person hell bent on harming him. Had the cop known of the robbery, i suspect the entire approach as well as the outcome would have been different without anyone dieing.
I wouldn't call it news for nerds or stuff that matters. Many cities already ban news flights over them and have done so for years. The reasoning seems to be with police flights and reletive dangers of closeness when they respond to incidents.
But there are plenty of people who completely ignore politics who end up voting because of things like this. But i do not think i suggested anyone got their pitical leaning from one place. I said one place was trying to determine a person's political leanings and could press only certain groups with certain leaning to vote in order to influence or stuff the ballot box/ election.
Lol.. The family doesn't own the footage. It doesn't matter what they say because unless people like you point it out, no one would know the difference. It doesn't use their kid's image or even reference the murder.
So what exactly is it that has your panties in a knot. It sounds like your evasion of the answer is that the ads struck a cord with you and you hate that they are true. It seems like you are desperately trying to find a way to make it seem despicable and failing at it which upsets you even more. So what is so bad about it?
However, I do enjoy the perks of it being daylight when the youngest of the kids going to school in my area and are out waiting on the buss. It's still dark when the high school kids catch their rides. But for the last few days, the younger kids have had to walk to the bus stop in the dark and starting Monday, it will be daylight or lighter out. Makes it easier to see them when they run out in traffic to avoid having to walk in the drainage ditches.
That's about the only benefit I see around here and it doesn't even effect me because I'm usually gone before then anyways. It just sucks to hear about one of them stepping too far into the road and something bad happening. I'm too far out of town for sidewalks yet close enough that the kids still walk to a central point to be picked up.
You forgot about the 2012 experiment where they divined user's political leanings from their posts and likes and stuff. Oh and that wasn't secret, they announced they were having a third party do it.
So theoretically, they could influence the election by reminding only people who have been identified to vote or lean a certain way and show them favorable- even if misleading, ads for that way in the lead up to the election.
So why is it schmuckery to have it displayed in an ad? What has you so upset over it to the point you are claiming it is bad?
The ad did not mention Foley's murder, it did not mention Foley, it did however mention that the democrat was siding with Obama and Obama's policies are making up less safe. So are you upset over the image, or the effectiveness of the ad?
And yes, I am quite ignorant of it, I rarely watch TV (don't even have cable) and only watched the supposed murder video once. I say supposed only because some people seem to think the video was staged and the beheading happened later but I don't really care one way or another- the guy is dead and ISIS took credit for it.
Nonsense. I saw the ad from the New Mexico politician and it's completely appropriate and does not show the murder or anything about it. Just flashes a masked guy standing there who could have been an actor on a set for all we know from the commercial.
And yes, I did miss the one from Arizona. You should have posted a link.
You just keep digging. These people were not infectious, and were monitoring their conditions.
And the same can be said for the people in Africa, well, until they became infectious and ended up infecting others which is why these people are going to Africa and getting exposed in the first place.
But hey, why don't you explain to me and everyone else why those Africans reject science or are incapable of following science and have the infection in the first place? I mean you are after all, saying that there is nothing to worry about which means they should be over and done with the outbreak shortly unless there is some sort of shortcomings with them.
Funny, you remove all doubt about your ignorance when you add a dollop of the AIDS paranoia. That is so vintage 80's
I don't know what you are talking about. People are getting arrested, charged and convicted for infecting others with AIDs. A google search would show that. The latest conviction I know about was in 2014 where a man took a plea agreement in order to avoid several of the charges. I don't know why you think it is 80ish, it is last year-ish.
Why don't you move to Cuba, where they round up people with AIDS and put them in camps? That seems about your speed.
Why don't you troll somewhere else. lol.. At first I thought you was just some poser idiot who was completely clueless. Despite you playing the part very well (as if it came natural to you), this last comment made me realize you are just trolling. So now that it's in the open, just move on and troll somewhere else.
twist the actual facts to fit that a fantasy to use the factoid, and voila! One more drop of hysteria added to the mix.
No one is twisting any actual facts. The hypothetical I used is only an example of what harm can come from her being out and about.
Why is it when people in the U.S. have a difficult situation to face, some percentage of the population pusses out and advocates for jettisoning constitutional rights. If we don't do what's right in these cases, we have little claim on our republic.
What is right in these cases is for these idiots to stay away from people and things that can harm others until it is certain that they will not present a danger. And no, I do not think it is jettisoning constitutional rights any more than it is for locking someone up who drives drunk who has not hit anyone or anything, or for people shooting their guns in the air in the middle of town and have not harmed anyone, or for requiring employers to put guards and warnings on dangerous machines people have to use for employment or require fall arrest harnesses and handrails when working above 10 feet. These people made a choice to go to a infested country- that choice should require that they ensure they do not bring it back and at minimum, that if they do, they do not introduce it to anyone else or anything else.
Personally, I think we should treat them like aids and HIV infected people who do not warn their partners of the infestation before giving it to them. They should be charged with felony assault and if anyone dies because of the transmission of the disease, they should get murder 2- because it is not an accident at all when they know they could become infectious within a period of time and fail to isolate themselves.
I do not know how stupid you have to be, but I do know there are a lot of these people out there.
I used to get infected computers all the time, ask them what kind of anti virus they run and get told they don't need them because they don't have a virus. I don't know how many people say they turned it off because it kept quarantining some file they downloaded to help them get movies or music or programs. They all swear the guy in the chat room knows what he was talking about. I even had one moron attempt to sue me in small claims court because a program I installed kept deleting his files. Of course it was an antivirus and the files were ones he downloaded from some p2p network. I replaced several components and a case on a computer that took a flight from a second story window because it kept freezing and locking up. After the owner picked it up and took it home, he called angrily complaining that he just paid me $500 and it does the same damn thing. I stopped over and found the problem to be a bad cord on his mouse- $20 dollars later, his old system would have been just fine still.
I don't think you would believe how many of those people exist out there.
lol.. Get your third parties elected locally and more local people will vote for them nationally. The only reason the two parties have their stronghold is because they control the local offices. If you want to take that control away, you need to do it there or infiltrate their party in primaries like the TEA party republicans do.
You are likely to discover that if you attempted to get them elected locally, that they are fringe parties with little support and people say they agree with you in order to shut you up rather than being sincere. I hope I am wrong on that, but I would suggest that is the reason why 99% of all local offices is dominated by republicans or democrats and why they dominate state and federal elections. And it should be noted that politicians tend to behave differently on the federal level than they do on the state and local level giving different appearances than reality for the most part.
It would be interesting if you just named them because it isn't the republicans. There is a republican senate candidate in New Mexico who used images of Foley's killer but as far as I can find, no one is using images of James Foley himself.

It would be mostly Europe. Well, EU countries anyways. The US.comes in after the EU for the amount of imports from china.
Allowed to live any longer....

That is fine and alll but you still are avoiding the question about what you think is so bad about it that you had to complain about it here.
