  1. Misleading subject line on 3D Sphere Interface for XP · · Score: 1

When I see a subject that says 3D Sphere Interface for XP, I'm thinking that there will be a bunch of windows that look like spheres. Now, the link definitely shows a bunch of 2D rectangles. So I guess that what I'm saying is that XP must truly be something if it can render 3D spheres as 2D rectangles that you can't use.

Did your dad and his friend happen to go to CalTech, as that is in fact the place where the reconstruction-of-a-car-inside-a-dorm-room was pioneered? I'd say that that is the most innovative innovation ever innovated there.

Really, any slashdotter worth anything would already know that, as it was included in an article here: http://linux.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=04/12/24/ 0428244&tid=172&tid=106. To compound that issue, "more secure" and "less vulnerable" are the same thing. A bank vault with a 20-inch-thick, titanium-steel door with biometric authenticaion is both more secure and less vulnerable than a bank vault with a door made out of cardboard. "more secure" and "less vulnerable" are not either/or statements; they imply each other. And although this is mod-suicide, I honestly cannot understand why the parent was modded up.

You can walk into CompUSA and other stores that are actually actually computer stores and find Apple software, but I must say, it is not much.

It's not illegal and the U.S. can't label all /.ers as possible terrorists.
Yes it is possible for the US to label /.ers as possible terrorists. while it may not be ethical for the US government in general, and George W. Bush and John Ashcroft in particular, to label us as possible terrorists, they definately can. with the passage of the Patriot Act, the government now has powers similar to those of the governments of Orwell's 1984 or Hitler's Germany. While I don't want to get off topic, I really must say that it is sad that this is the case. Also, I personally wouldn't want the FBI or Ashcroft's personal Gestapo to come knocking at my door at 4 am like 1984 or 1930s Germany, so I am not going to visit the sites listed.
