So where to from here. If bluetooth is dead and WiFi is taking over then why are there no mobile WiFi devices like cellphones?
Will this make cellphone towers and monthly rates obsolete? How about IP Cellphony. I am quite sure everybody has pondered about this very thought. It would mean a truly global interconnected network where mobile wireless networks can provide anytime anywhere networks. So what's the downside? One word, bandwidth. WiFi currently requires the 802.11b standard which runs 11mbps. 802.11g runs 54mbps which would be a jump, however all should probably wait for 802.11n which should push the bandwidth to over 100mbits to somewhere around 150mbps.
The Matrix Approaches. V / XI / MMIII Can't wait.
Anyway back to reality, so the IEEE and ISO have got standards pretty much under wraps although these standards are a bit buggy and have security holes. Shall we jump on the bandwagon and push the IPv6 development? Definately. With a new IP version we can accomodate more IP's and provide better security(IPv6 currently has alot more security features).
Now the question is how long do we wait for mobile devices to actively support and promote WiFi standards. Many moons Man with Clenched Fists
Easy, the universe itself is expanding faster than the speed of light.
Although of couse the universe is alot older than 15B years. Then again if our universe is part of a bigger set of hyperdimensional spaces then who's to say that Einstein was right and that light is the fastest thing in the universe. His entire theory is based on universal constants that would be totally changed if we were in a multidimensional space.
That is exactly the point. You would have to pay for it until now. Only at this time would you be ab able to use that technology without having to payup.
What next, what will be the next thing to get patented? Should idea's like plugin's not be intellectual property in the public domain.
With the advent of the EU Software Patents Bill any intellectual property in the software sector can be patented will stunt and totally demoralise all any any but the most hardened programmers. Any programs or apps they write will need the legal go ahead before launch. Legal software specialists will have to inspect every bit of code and features implemented to justify their uniqueness and or pay the dividends to the respective company's.
What's to stop a company from patenting the ';' in programming. This will mean just about every program ever written will have to pay divends to whoever recieves the patent.
What absolute madness. With all the legal rambling, patents, bickering and finger pointing that is happening lately it is easy to see how the.com bubble burst, affecting every facet of IT and hempering it's growth. I would urge those individuals who have applied for 'loony' patents on 'intellectual' property to make their patents Public Domain to support the growth of the Open Source movement and the further development of all mankind.
Open source and development of the human race as a whole directed by a single entity would be a very noble and challenging task requiring a governing greater than the human spirit. This would seem alot like a communist society although communism would fail for the very reason that it destroys all freedom of speech and uniqueness that we all cherish.

Find the setting to turn off Autorun in the Device manager -> Cd-Rom -> (Relevant Device) -> Properties -> Device Settings (Tabbed Pane). Deselect the Auto Insert Notification Checkbox. Well Hidden? (Smirk). Else use SHIFT when inserting a cd.
In Xp just disable it the first time you insert a cd by selecting the checkbox.
2000. I dunno never used it. Probably about the same. Just look around.
There are so many qualified and talented programmers here that are unable to find any work after the dotcom bubble burst, imploded and went thermonuclear.
Luckily for some of them still get jobs in the IT sector although as technicians or Network Admins (like myself).
I must also admit that with the general expansion of the IT industry preceding the bubble burst and the terms like "The money's in computers" the industry has bee flooded with nitwits and no-brainers thatwant to make money.
In the case of India IT is a state sponsored occupation, thereby making it easy to get a cheap degree. In that case you're getting people not truly dedicated to programming or truly talented. They are however qualified.
Thebest advice would be to get someonew that knos what they're talking about, check out their resume/plans and keep a good avenue of communication well open.
Very very true. As an entry level South African programmer programmer I would charge no more than say R50 an hour. That prices like $50 are recommended is apalling. The exchange rate is R6.70 to the Dollar ATM. Makes the rate R335 / hour. Crazy. If you want to compare user the international standards, the big mac and a can of coke. Mac = R8,95 and coke = R4,00. I could live like a king on that kind of money.
