Dont think that really applies in this case. MS makes Billions every quarter. 10 million is a very small percentage of their earnings to investment ratio. really its just greediness that came back to bite them in the stink hole.
Super mario world

On a somewhat related note, I wish they'd add some kind of option to turn off the finder warning when one changes extensions of files in. Seriously, its pretty ridiculous to have to hit the confirm button EVERY SINGLE TIME I change (or add) and extension to a file. the worst part is that the "keep (current extension)" button is the default button; I cant just hit return. I have to use the mouse and click on the "change' button , or hit tab, tab, space. *GRRRR* very annoying!
yes, that's the beauty of OSS. no need to wait till point releases for things that require immediate attention *cough*...IE...*cough* safari... *cough*
I agree with you whole-heatedly , the ipod/itunes/ITMS are all tied in so closely that you really have to have equivalent products/solutions to be able to truly compete with apple's music player.
And seriously, what's all the fuss about handheld devices that can play video? i really dont see why you would want to watch a movie on a tiny screen with crummy audio. to me, there's no real use for a portable video player (and by portable i mean handheld,i.e. not a powerbook). in fact, can anyone really think of a good use for one?
hate to nitpick, but technically its not a series premiere, its a SEASON premiere. A series premiere implies the premiering of a series which has not previously been aired. A season premiere refers to a new set of episodes of an ongoing series/serial.
as for CW season 2, ehh.. ep 11 was pretty dull, especially when compared to the highly energetic space battle in ep 10 that preceded it. oh well...
