News as old as dinosaurs? BBC carried this story 10 days ago. I guess that isn't quite as old as dinosaurs. Of course, that supposing that dinosaurs aren't still alive on the bottom of the ocean.
Good ol' slashdot, one second we are complaining about incorrect grammar...
Notwithstanding the grammar mistake--I hope editors will have corrected it before I finish writing this comment--it is not "How [Would] Heraclitus...Design a Programming Language" but rather "What Programming Language Would Heraclitus Design."
And the next we are talking about how to desing a programming language.
On the other hand if you are wondering how should you desing and implement a programming language
I know I was initially over-whelmed by the interface when I first checked it out too. The trick that makes it all come together, and incredibly fast to work in to boot, is hotkeys. Keep one hand on the keyboard and one on the mouse.
If you haven't checked out Blender in a while, now is the time to do so. It has changed alot, and is advancing QUICKLY.
How? By inserting a BIG FAT UGLY WATERMARK on anything produced.
Logic: If it is NOT personal use, the output is unacceptable. It would be like Pro Tools interrupting your sound file every 0.5 seconds and saying "Brought to you by Pro Tools".
How much stock does Daniel Lyons, the article's author, own in Cisco?
All together a pretty shoddy piece of reporting.

I'm honestly not sure what the projected release date is. But from what I have seen Blender is very good about the "release often" philosophy.
Check out this thread which has a screen capture of an alpha version of the new Blender 2.3 UI.

But since when does one paragraph out of a no doubt lengthy contract definitively prove anything?
