School uniforms are a real pain in the ass. Besides the unfair pricing, we always had to go try them out months in advance, and they would never let us order up a size, so by the time we got the clothes, they were too small. However, with a free dress code, I can wear parents' hand-me-downs, or as many free t-shirts as I can scrounge up at LinuxWorld and other trade shows (which, in fact, make up the majority of my wardrobe).
Besides, I highly doubt mandating a dress code would solve or even begin to treat student violence.
Yes, but the Chinese all use a common written system, which is generally what will be employed when dealing with things online. So even if you only learn one dialect, you will be able to read what others write, and vice-versa. So yes, it would be worth it if your goal is to communicate with people online.
I had an hp-48g in 8th grade. I used to play basketball before school with the 48 in my pocket (without the soft-cover, no less) and it would usually fall out of my pocket during play (onto hard asphault) about twice a week. In addition, I once dropped it into a puddle about 6 inches deep when I was getting out of the car (again, without the soft cover).Yet, the calculator still works perfectly, even if it has a few nicks (no majorly visible dents or anything though).
I guess this is a true testament to the quality of pre-Carly HP hardware.
Then again, you could also be impotent.
