  1. Orbdev's Manifest Destiny on Orbdev Files US Federal Suit Over Asteroid Claim · · Score: 1

No nation ever existed without some sense of national destiny or purpose. Manifest Destiny -- a phrase used by Orbdev in the 2003 to explain continental expansion of the Heaven's by Mr. Nemitz -- revitalized a sense of "mission" or national destiny for Himself. And while Orbdev put into motion a quest for its Manifest Destiny, NASA faced quite different circumstances as a newly suboenaed tennant of Orbdev's sovereign domain. If that were true. I could see the logic in it. I could see them saying we need to think, "Out of the box".

Take one model internet, put it on a college campus, and invite everyone to exploit it. Then sit back and study the results.

It resembles many of the other hacker wargames that have gone on. They only difference is they are trying to give it some legitimacy by having Berkley host it and they pay for it.

Also by them paying the way, they would feel entitled to have all the knowledge of the attacks and counter-attacks without disclosure.

Isn't this how Cap 'N' Crunch got started? My hacker lore is kinda fuzzy.

    I agree.

I still remember the days Of OS/2. M'Soft's answer was Windows NT. Advertising support for OS/2 and Unix built right in. What they didn't mention, it was support in the barest sense. The main objective was to get people using NT.

We all know what happened there.

"Keep your friends close and your enemies closer." This is an old saying everyone is familiar with. I would be more concerned if/when they openly embraced Linux as opposed to them openly denouncing it. I do not look forward to the day when someone says to me, "Have you the new Windows? It now runs Linux!" Just my .02

Sounds like they are going for broke. I wonder what the hell SCO is thinking, if they lose this and they will. Their new investors will be on them like a pack of ravenous wolves. McBride is obviously gambling the company on this. Just my.02
