Can't you fools see the potential for abuse in such a system. Widespread acceptance of such a payment scheme will mean a cashless society.
First a card, then an implant. Companies are already talking about this.
Implantable chips will inevitably become a reality, however premature implementation into our society WILL BE ABSOLUETLY HORRIFYING! The technology will inevitably be abused! Do you want every detail of your life scrutinized by the government?
Even more frightening are the potential abuses of nano-technology. Think of RFID chips. Now think about inhalable or edible RFID chips. Now think about nanobots belonging to the government or any interested party crawling around in your bloodstream towards your brain. Prety creepy, isn't it?
Cold hard cash is the only way to protect one's privacy. Even this is becoming difficult with the new levels of cooperation between banks, bussinesses and Ashcoft's increasingly Hyper-Orwellian post911 federal government.
The US government through NASA will be installing brain scanners at airports...remember Blade Runner and that crazy test they gave you to see if you're a replicant? Very soon you will be experiencing something similar before boarding a plane...if this does not disturb you than you are a naive idiot.....
Society is not ready for this stuff, although there are some very powerful people who will stop at nothing to ensure that your very survival will depend on you and your children's future implantation. Of course it will be voluntary at first, however they will be social pressure to ensure one is an outcast if not in compliance...
Yet even more frightening is the possibility that vaccines will be used as a covert means of introducing self-assembling implants into the population. Police in my town no longer where a typical civilian law enforcement type uniform. Their official uniforms are now olive drab military BDU's. We have 2 brand new "Homeland Security" bradley armored vehicles patrolling our streets and the police can be seen training with the military right in town...WTF ever happened to posse comitatus? If you are not seeing this where you live, relax, your police will also be merged with the military/homeland security appartus soon enough....
I'm sick of keeping my mouth shut about this stuff...we are right on the brink of losing this country....

Apparently this Russian UFO reseacher claims that the event was caused by an ancient missle installation which shot down some object before it collided with the earth....

being really subsversive would be using such a tool invouluntarily, a worm...but how does one account for reserved IP addy space behind firewalls, private intranets?
These are huge chunks of the totatlity of IP speaking machines on this planet....so the map will always be incomplete...but taken over time these "maps" could be used to extrapolate the laws governing the behavior of large-scale networks and users....
Also, practical UDP/ICMP filtering policies are being implemented more intellegintly with better routing/switching hardware (layer-4,),real-time detection of DDoS attacks at the edge before tieing up routers connected to large IP network backbones....my point is a signifcant amount of hosts are unreachable becuase of such things...
The map is constantly changing, therefore not much information can be gleaned at the micro-level from a bunch of snapshots trickling into a database from which one compiles some form of visual representation, i.e. a map....to actually grasp the true "form" of the internet one would need to create a method of visualing the temporal dimension of IP connectivity...although on a global scale, I believe the fractal geometry would probably be more stable over time as global backbone topologies change on a slower and less erratic scale than network connectivity torwards the edge.....
the general path a packet will take across network may vary greatly with time depending on the state of the backbone infrastructure, which is constantly changing due to build out, fibre cuts, and other events occuring in the real world...
