  1. Re:typical teaching lab on Equipment for A Perfect General Lab? · · Score: 1

Don't forget a gel electrophoresis apparatus/dyes/agar stuff and some UV lights/UV camera. It's essential, because there's no word more fun to say than "electrophoresis." Just say it. Electrophoresis. Electrophoresis. Electrophoresis.. (There's also no word that's more of a pain to type over and over again, I've discovered.)

  2. Re:they rock on PHP Template Engines? · · Score: 1

I also wrote my own, simply because I really don't know all the perks oof a pre-written engine. All mine does is open files or read a MySQL table, interpret {VARIABLES} and stuff like that, and print everything into a standard template. Very simple, very quick, and it does the job nicely.

  3. Missing letter on U.S. Supreme Court to Debate COPA · · Score: 1

Not that it really matters, but it's COPPA - Child Online Privacy Protection Act. Unless this is a different act (I know there are a lot of them :P).

  4. Re:hacked SPOT? on Looking for High-Tech Watches? · · Score: 1

I just got myself the Fossil Wrist Net Round SPOT Watch today, and so far I'm impressed. I will admit to being a sucker for gadgets, but the call of a watch that receives news, weather, stocks, and especially instant messages... well, I couldn't help myself :) At $180 for the watch and $60/year for the service, it's pretty affordable (but that's just my opinion). Then again, I don't really care about affordability, it was a late Christmas present :D

Why pay a million dollars for 30 seconds when you could just get your ad Slashdotted for free?

  6. Names4Ever on Who is the Best Registrar? (take 2) · · Score: 1

I've used Names4Ever twice, and they haven't failed me yet (even though I can't really see how a registrar could register a domain in the wrong way). One of the domains propogated worldwide in 12 hours! It was like a new propogation record. Or something.
