I'd be very curious to see how the game plays! Wonder if they put any really effort into the development of this game... One has to wonder since there aren't any screen shots or other relevant information at the web site.

I can identify. Being introverted and more then bit shy I have always found it extremely difficult to meet new people and to begin relationships. It usually takes me quite a while to warm up to people enough to relax and feel comfortable enough to actually be myself. Once I get to this point with people they actually realize that I'm not some one-dimensional techno-weenie, but a fairly well rounded person with a level head on his shoulders and a lot of too offer people. But few people ever give you the chance to get to this point!

Its always good to know there are other people in the same boat as me. Even though at an intellectual level you know you're not unique in the universe it's damn hard on emotional level to not feel isolated and kind of freakish!

At the age of 28 I'd kind of given up the notion of finding someone compatible enough to build any kind of happy long-term relationship with. Reading this makes me think otherwise! Thanx very much for that!

This is off topic but may be an interesting tip to people concerened about cookies. I dont care for sites that track my browsing patterns via cookies but I also dont like seeing messages telling me this a site requires me to enable cookies to use it. So a work around for those using netscape is to make your cookie file read-only. I did this and it works like a charm. I tell netscape to accept cookies from anywhere which allows me to use sites that require cookies but since they are never written to disk no history is kept from session to session. Just an odd bit of info for anyone who is interested.

Burned??? No I think shock will be the predominate problem to worry about as throngs of new Linux users find out that will no longer have to reboot every 10 minutes and reinstall their OS every 4 or 5 months just to keep it stable. This will be quite staggering to the typical M$ user.

Open source movement so close minded... hmmmm... people investing their time and energy to produce high quality software that others can use and modify completely free of charge. Yes definitely a myopic crew at best. In fact, so myopic that certain Open Source products have become indispensable parts of the Internet landscape. Ever heard of Sendmail, Apache, Bind or maybe Perl. Just a few fruits from that close minded group know as the open source community.

Open Source is not about public approval or appealing to the masses. To date it has about been producing quality software available to everyone at no charge. The result of that goal has been software tools that in a good number of cases surpass what is available commercially. People trying to solve a problem have been able to leverage open source software to build powerful solutions to technical problems. The increase in "public" or maybe I should say corporate awareness of open source has been due to increasing recognition of the success in some sectors of the open source model in business.

Given that, saying that support for open source will evaporate because they pissed you off seems pretty foolish. But maybe I'm just too close minded to see the greater picture.

I agree completely! I have heard so much nonsensical garbage about Windows NT's ease of use and low total cost of ownership. Windows NT is complicated server OS requiring a very skilled administrator to provide an inordinately large (more so then your typical UNIX system) amount of care and feeding.

Saying that administering NT is simply a matter of pointing and clicking is such an understatement it almost qualifies as lying. Yet this is stock propaganda from Microsoft and Microsoft proponents.

I have witnessed any number of projects where management has given the nod to a Microsoft solution based this type of propaganda only to hit the panic button a few months later due to out of control support costs as well failure to deliver effectively on all pieces of the original solution.

The PS/2 lines of systems (IBM's idea of where PCs should have gone back in the late 80s early 90s) were almost all "Micro Channel" systems. The fact that they were MCA is one of the main reason credited for them being pretty much a flop.
