  1. Toronto on Ask William Shatner · · Score: 1

Do you still visit Toronto Canada often, and what is happening with your 3D Effects Studio now that Tekwar is no longer being made here.

  2. Do you think the enemy is online on US Army Digital Exercise · · Score: 1

I think it's quite incredible that the United States Army put's all of this stuff Online for the world to see, once apon a time the enemy had to send in spies for years to find out about this sort of stuff now any gov't in the world can find out exactly what the U.S. Army is up to just by watching television specials, CNN, or visiting the local U.S. Military Web Site.

Regardless of the technology, I think it's quite nieve to put all of this information out in to the mass media arena, and expect that no one will capitalise on it.

    Just my two cents ...

  3. Flash - Flash - Flash on Unisys Enforcing GIF Patents · · Score: 1

Come on folks ... Macromedia Flash is both vector and bitmap based, the files are small and the animations kick seriouse ass compared to gif's !!

And there is no LZW compression anywhere in the program that I know of! Flash 3.0 works with Netscape and as far as I know Internet Explorer.

So I agree lets Burn all Gif's

  4. Not to mention badly filmed! on Beware The Hype, Not the Witch · · Score: 1

Not to mention, a boring movie badly filmed. My Film Class made better movies in University for a lot less money! I do however think that the Net got the ball started on this unstopable hype machine, overhyped news of the movie was online months before the movie ever came out and the worst part of it is you don't have a clue whats truth or fiction. Visit there Web Site and the many fan sites and hey all portray it as a factual documentary. Definetly National News magazines doing cover stories is pathetic. Just my two cents I guess, but I hated the movie! If you want the real truth from the Frederick County Sheriff's Department go here: http://www.burkittsville.org/faq.html

Put all of the documents in PDF format on a cool CDCard and I would buy it! Great idea for the millenium ...

  8. Re: Implementation on Ask Slashdot: Significant Documents of the Internet · · Score: 1

I think a number of current sites might be interested in hosting something like this, companies like "Slashdot.org" or "ZDNet". I'm sure many would like to keep this with the people, but it's worthwhile to think of these other options as they have the time and resources to make a seriouse attempt at this, and manage the content. Also they have a large audience allready established that would contribute.

I think this is an extremely worth while project and would love to see it take shape.

    Best of luck ... Mainframe
