What ever dispaly the HDTV market comes out with, I won't be buying one. The CRAP on TV now is not worth spending on any HDTV sets. I'll play on the computer instead of watching the BOOB TUBE!
Well I have bill collectors after my ass for a repo car. I have nothing, I will never have nothing. The collection agency can go stick it where the sun don't shine,;-)
Would have been great to keep doing what I wanted to do until retirement. Worked as an electronics tech, company filed bankruptcy went out of business, age just over 60, every interview they seemed interested, but many were afraid that they could not afford to pay my "worth". I offered to be a mentor at a "middle wage", no hire. Even contract houses did not want to take me on for even a six months trial. Ended up sitting at a desk monitoring HVAC, fire and security alarms for $10.00 an hour just to keep my head above water until 65 and retire.
Yep had a great job as a radio dispatcher for the state police 10 years and then a tech career for almost 30 years in a engineering lab, was a great job, all because of ham radio which I started in high school. I know quite a few others including engineers who started in ham radio and made a career out it or from it:-)
Yep and then there are HAM geeks who are also computer geeks, so does that make "us" geeky geek's or geeks^2;-) I am a HAM and have enjoyed the hobby for almost 50 years and trying to learn Linux the hard way;-)
Maybe the new MFSK mode that is in testing stage right now will copy signals below the noise level. No official "name" for this new mode but it is being tested. Based on Walsh functions, and the creation of SP9VRC. See the digitalradio group on Yahoo, past few weeks a lot of discussion about this "new" mode.
Had to argue that I registered to vote when I changed my address for a new drivers license. That was over a year ago the polling place never received my registration, now that is Government "working?" for us. But did get to cast my ballot after fifteen minutes of filling out a new registration card and waiting for a slow person ahead of me to get theirs done.
As long as the event is not held at Wrigley Field. Understand that it "rains concrete" once and a while from the upper deck. Harry Caray would roll over in his grave!

Hi Buzzygirl, think I chatted with you on PSK31 one time when you were at Bob's (FMI) shack!

The "Spamwich" was coined a long time ago, WWII!
