You're thinking of the redesigned original NES. About when Nintendo came out with the Super Nintendo. They re-released the NES as a sleeker, slimmer system where the games were top-loaded (instead of inserted into the front) and had pads with curves instead of square corners.
I thought that the whole problem of distributing games was being addressed by companies like Garage Games?
Wanting to break into the area of indie game development myself, is that the way to go? Or what? Anyone have any experience in this area?

Here is a shot of the front of the cube. Notice that I did not put on a door. I guess there is some room for improvement.
Here is an angled shot from the front. Notice the snow on the bottom. Yes, that is a chimney back there. Oh, and the ladies tell me that I have such wanderfull color coordination.
Here is an angled shot from the back of the cube.
Check out the snowman.
Here is a shot of Santa. Notice the glow on the ceiling. It looks like the sun is rising when you're sitting in other people's cubes.
Yes, there is a floormat.
Here are the decorations I put inside the cube.
Hope you liked my cube, have fun !!!
These two series really got me hooked on Fantasy when I was a kid. But then the glaringly bad writing turned me off of Eddings. The most obvious part that springs to mind is in the last book in the Belgariad series (Enchanter's End Game, I believe). The bad guy is done away with in a way that doesn't make sense, at all!, within the context of the story. For them to say that the guy couldn't get out of the stone because the good wizard (what's his name, again?) did already was pure non-sequitur.
But, they did get me started in the wonderful world of fantasy and science fiction.
By far, the worst book I've (tried to) read this year would be this piece of crap. There are better soap operas that have characters that are more realistic. Stay away from this and the rest of Sara Douglas's books. "The best writer in Austrilia"? Wow! I'm glad I don't live there!
I don't know who did the list, but they can't count. Super Mario Bros. 3 received 465 votes while Balloon Fight only got 461. Last I checked 465 > 461.
