I think the New York Times is really dumb for requireing a free l/p just to read stories. Anyway, heres and easy one to remember... login: wheredoyou password: wanttogotoday
(Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I have to ask) Why dosent the DVD industry want Linux users to watch their movies? I would view all the users/geeks that use Linux as a great market. Could someone (possibly in the industry) please explain.
Ok, sorry, I didnt realize that this was a pure Linux/UNIX site. CuteFTP is by far the best FTP client for Windows 9x/NT. And, no, I dont waste my time at warez servers.
ID software (the people who brought you quake, doom, etc.) also have a 5000 user limit on their FTP servers. To get around this, rather than clicking on a link in IE and getting a too many users message, I use CuteFTP. It says too many users in the log and tries again. It tries forever (unless you quit or stop it) and I can usually get in to any FTP server after about 2 minutes. Much easier than clicking on the link 100 times like a monkey would... mduell
I also have a mac classic (running system 7.x) i got for free from my school. It loads only one extension (SAM AntiVirus) and boots in 21 seconds... I wonder how fast it would go if i took out the extension. Also, its a bit offtopic, but it runs Adobe Photoshop 1.0 in monochrome pretty nicely.
