    This is fine, but I hope they somehow retain long-hold-on-back-button = force quit (enabled in developer options). I love this feature.

  5. You're right. My final statement that CL should "burn for this" was wrong -- they can't be held legally liable for deliberately interrupting a service that they don't provide direct support for. My point still stands, though, that people could have died as a result of CL's actions. And, if this were the case, a civil suit brought by the affected family would be likely.

  8. People could have. What if one of the affected customers had VoIP (eg. Obi) and was attempting to call 911 to save someone's life? The call would be blocked, and the attached phone would give no indication as to why.

    CenturyLink should burn for this.

    I was initially inclined to agree with you. But, remember, Windows 10 did that very thing. How many people were tricked into moving from Win7 to Win10?

    Sometimes, in my mind, I change it to (with a Slavic accent): "Vladislav! Baby don't hort me... don't hort me.. no mores."
    I get a little grin, because it's kind of funny. But then, I remember that domestic abuse it definitely not funny, and I stop grinning.

    It took the government to get us to the moon.

    Congratulations on finding an (1) example of government driving technological advancement. Others would be the Internet, and (some) military weaponry.

    But, you also have automobiles, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors/microprocessors, and an endless list of other areas that started with, and have been largely advanced through private funding.

    KDE is beautiful, smooth, and Dolphin is the best file manager available. But KIO sucks. Just try playing a video over smb:// without downloading it first. Unless your client app natively supports KIO's messed up way of doing things, you can't.
