Aside from violation of privacy, how is this such a big deal? I'm 38 years old, and I have yet to see two dudes kiss in public (aside from TV). If I did see it, I would find it to be strange, because it's outside of what I'm used to seeing.

So, again, outside of the privacy violation, did he also commit some crime by not being accustomed to, and indifferent of homosexuality? Should he serve a prison sentence because he thought two guys kissing is strange/not what he's used to seeing?

With the modern forms of police brutality, those images don't exist and the protesters have lost a valuable form of leverage.

No, the thing that the protesters have lost is anonymity and the ability to tell just one side of the story -- theirs. Now, with citizen journalism and the abundance of video, they can no longer cry, "police brutality!" at every encounter. This is why many at OWS have attacked those carring cameras and have refused to allow access to news media (see Oakland.) They want to be able to instigate, and then play victim to gain sympathy.

You're right. The game has changed -- now the protesters can no longer have complete control of the narative.

Others have already pointed out the merits of evaporative cooling, but I'll add this. It works, because the nuclear fuel is adding energy to the system. The motion of the water itself is not the energy source. Just like in your car, the gasoline is adding energy to the system, and this is why your radiator can keep your engine cool. The water pump and fan do not consume the total kinetic energy from the engine.

No it isn't. You're assuming that the water is not capable of cooling at all without first being cooled. This is not the case. If the water is even one degree cooler than the reactor, it is capable of cooling. The fact is, the water would not have to be cooled much to be completely effective -- you would not need to use the total of the energy produced to cool the system, because the water already has some cooling capacity.
