They must be referring specifically to Office documents or something, because WinXP has had thumbnail views for pictures and movies since the beginning.
As another poster mentioned, XP was not really intended as an upgrade for the Win2000 users (who were at the time mostly businesses.) It was targeted at the home users, who were still using Win9x/ME.
I liked the teamwork possibilities of the vehicles in Halo for PC. Two warthogs, advancing with supporting infantry, can be very effective. I'm hoping that one of the HL2 mods will support some vehicles soon.
More than anything else I'm really waiting for Team Fortress:Source, with all the graphical awesomeness and physics fun in CS:S and HL2DM. I still miss playing the old TFC for hours and hours on end.
Why? I love how you toss this out as if it is patently obvious, but I disagree with this premise. Murder is wrong. Killing is sometimes excusable. Prehaps even sometimes the right thing to do.
But they can not take away your right to photograph them.
Well, as soon as you photograph them, they can ask you to leave. So I really don't see the big distinction between having to leave for doing it and not being allowed to do it.
Modern law doesn't like that definition of rights, and neither do I. It's inconsistant and subject to the vagueries of peoples moods, opinions and temperment. Modern law is supposed to be above that.
I honestly don't know what "modern law" you are talking about. Generally speaking, the rights of property holders to eject any person at any time for any reason is absolute. Now, this is somewhat lessened by specific statutes for commercial properties that provide "public accomodation." But those exceptions are specific, and are generally limited to specific types of discrimination. I don't know what law you've been reading, but I'd be fascinated to hear about any case or statutory law that says that property owners can't make up any other rules pretty much at will.
No, assets show up as assets. IF they are liquidated (converted to cash) THEN you pay capital gains. If it's still capital assets, then it's NOT cash and the heirs CAN'T do "whatever they want with it."
n this case, it'll take a lot more than one person causing a scene before they'll do something as serious as remove cameras, but that's exactly what you need to do to get results at all.
In this case, the only "results" you are likely to get are criminal trespass charges.
No, he's saying, "if you don't know exactly how to fix something, maybe you shouldn't be criticizing others for not fixing it." When you send in bug reports, do you berate the developers for making software in the first place? Do you purposefully insert MORE bugs to "raise awareness?" Do you generally act like an obnoxious fool? Or do you just suggest a problem, make a point, and respond politely?
I dislike this statement because it gives rise to a false dichotomy where you only possess rights on public land.
Haha. I'd like to take that before a judge. "Yeah, judge...I'm going to go ahead and sort of...disagree...with that law...Yeah, I don't really like it that much, mmmkay?"
It's not a question of how much taxes will be paid but rather who will pay those taxes.
Oh! Well then, let's just raise the top bracket to 100%, keeping the lower brackets proportional.
Tax breaks don't result in reduced spending they just add to debt.Ultimately, they do both. Also, tax breaks can actually increase revenues when growth is stimulated.
But, if you ignorge what there spending it on government's is fairly effecent most times something like education gets privatised the costs go up or the quality go down.
I could not disagree more. UPS and Fed-Ex are at least as competitive as USPS. And which system do you think provides a better return on investment - our state-run primary education, or our market-based universities? If NASA can build "it" for less than the private contractors, then why don't they?
If they can't run there buissness eficently then sell out and let somone else take over.I'm talking about family farms (or ANY family-owned business, for that matter) that ARE run efficiently, but have most of their assets in CAPITAL, not liquidity! Thus, if we took your advice, they'd when the owner dies, the family would be forced to liquidate an efficent, productive business to pay the capital gains taxes!
But this would hurt the MOSt the people who have the least amount of liquid assets, like family farmers. The result would be the unnecessary liquidization of productive assets!
Additionally, I really like the fact that the iRiver H320 has out-of-the box recording capability - up to 128 kbps with the built in mic, or use a line-level input mic, or a condenser mic, and record at up to 320 kbps. Very nice! My father uses it to record instrument lesson sessions - it's been the envy of every other student in the class.
wasting huge amounts of resorces either though poor investing or pointless waste.
Is this supposed to be as opposed to the government's stellar investment returns and ruthless efficiency?
The point everyone seems to forget is taxes are owed to society on ALL earnings becouse without roads, an education system, and basic law and order you would have been unable to make that money.
The point you seem to forget is that "society" (which you seem to be using as a euphemisim for "the state") doesn't actually generate wealth, and depends on the wealth obtained not simply from taxes but from the creation of overall wealth; and the biggest creators of wealth are often (but not always) the richest members of society.

Not if you are on my property. If you don't like it, LEAVE. Nobody is forcing you to go to the mall.

Why, then, are strippers not suing the shit out of strip clubs?
But he also has no right for his own actions to be in that mall, see?

A little, but apparently these "demonstrators" didn't realize we were lauging at Homer, not with him.
Read carefully. "Clothing" != "Clothing displays"

Concur on that - strongly! Green death fking flavor player! Plays Ogg and Quality-based VBR encoded WMA. Nice.
My iRiver plays Ogg and Quality-based VBR WMA (which has, to my ears, the best quality-based VBA sound per bitrate available).
How could you mark this "Troll" when it's obviously "Offtopic"!
Personally, this idiotic complexity and intrusion into my personal affairs is why I support a NST.
I'm afraid I don't understand your analysis at all. Is wealth(x) the heir's wealth? GDP? Money supply? Where does growth factor in?
