If you look up Halloween 2005 and Halloween 2006 you get a lot of photos too. So until i see a photo that has some guy in a halloween costume with the year 2004 plastered in the image somewhere, your point is moot.
i saw a special on TV about that. The difference is that it wasn't fiber optics they were tapping. They did it without harming the line, they place a big "magnet" on the outside of the line that collected the data passing by. This is the mission in a nut shell.
If someone comes up to you and asks you where he can get some pot(which is illegal) and you tell him, you can get in trouble because you are considered and enabler. You enabled him to get the pot. Same goes for MP3's. If you tell people where they can get illegal mp3's you are once again and enabler!

Spammers usually use fake accounts/phished accounts. I used to reply to them and i would recieve a lot of mailer daemon responses
