If I understand this correctly we are lookin for radio frequency only! Now if that's the case by the time we replied and the message was recieved all life on the sending planet and probably this one will have been gone for centuries.

Good point with oil companys "caring too".
On your side note I have heard compelling "rumors" about the super carp 100+MPG to be true however these rumors are from "they" which does not give solid evidence either way.
You have a good point however/unfortunatly every time the public sector comes out with a way to "screw" the oil companys out of money (ie water engine, electromagnetic, etc) the oil company's end up buying the company / patent and tucking new technology's / products away and out of public reach.
Having dealt with my Internet provider support line I can honestly say that when a person who should be knowlegable says "I don't know" and "My supervisor is not in right now" you really need to look at 2 things (1) Is our training effective? and (2) Do we pay our people enough?

Not only is a business risking loss of clientel,I feel the cell companys involved are at risk too. Besides that you know somewhere down the line there will be a law suit (or two).

If your looking for the extras stick with M$ they will stick 'em to ya (wheather you want 'em or not.)
