    I don't want fixes, I want a system that is secure from the beginning.

    There are not many compiler writers.

    How well are they paid?

    And they write the compilers in C++ or Java. Usually using tools like ANTRL..

    You realize that there is more to a compiler than just a parser? Good luck writing a compiler without knowing the details of your target architecture and language.

    Not more intelligence. You just have to work more and figure out how to solve more problems, that's all.

    And if you are not capable of doing that, you will not propagate your genes further. Evolution at its finest.

    Most of the most civilized nations are in areas with very inhospitable conditions, such as long and harsh winters, or short crop growing seasons. It's not like, say, Africa or the Caribbean, where the climate is such that shelter, clothing, and even agriculture almost become non-issues.

    And this is probably the reason they are civilized - survival at higher latitudes usually requires more intelligence.

    Given that I still do not see what makes churches illegal under law, they are not denying you entry if you are of a different religion, or do they?

    They will probably not deny me entry. But we are talking about services here - what about marriage or burial?

  22. Actually the new tool suite is called Vivado. Both ISE and Vivado run on Linux, even better than on windows.

    CPUs + FPGAs in the same package is nothing new. Virtex II-pro in 2004, currently Zynq.
