  1. Actually Yamaha it not the one who "realease" it on Yamaha Releases Singing Synthesis Software · · Score: 1

Yamaha only provides the engine and leaves it up to others to produce commercial products with the engine. The one which I belive will be the first to realease a product based on it is zero-g. Check the video tutorials to see how it works.

  3. How about ad supported consoles ? on Free IBM Computers For UK Households · · Score: 1

We allready know that this this scheme is going to fail, hard. But how about ad supportet consoles ? Adds downloaded from the net (or cd) before each game etc. ? I would think that the target group for consoles(kids, teens) are much better than for free computers(People who can't aford their own). It would allso make it harder to get by the advertising (allthrough every console can be hacked), by ensuring that everything is "ok" through the interet connection. Finally since moste console vendors allready "gives" away the console in hopes of making profit on selling games this would look like the next logic step...

  4. Bio methrics on Radio Credit Cards Move Closer · · Score: 1

What would be nice is a card which stored your fingerprint or iris and stored this on the credit card. The credit card would communicate with the terminal by radio and all you would have to do was to touch or loock at the pay device. Privacy would ofcause be a issue. But atleast it would make the reacent ATM scams a bit more difficult...

  5. The details on Hitachi Readies Fuel Cell for PDAs · · Score: 2, Interesting

Duno if it's in the article, but so far Hitachi have manage to produce a prototype with 20% methanol concentration. The proto can run a PDA for about 6-8 hours. They are planning to increase the methanol concentration however, something which should increase the power. The problem now however is what to do with the waste product of the batery, namly water. Not to cool having a leaking PDA in your pocket ;)

I find it rather cool that you can download it over emule/edonkey. Why can't more software vendors provide their demos / free releases over ed2k / bitT ?
