But we know this is happening. So we can deal with it in two ways:
1. Reduce output of pollution/heat to reduce greenhouse effect & rising seas 2. Start to move stuff away from the ocean. The rise is happening slowly, so require new infrastructure to be 20 feet, or whatever, above sea levels.
Or I guess we could just keep hoping it goes away, or the idiots on the House Science committee pray it away...
Or that 2 quadrillion pounds of ice melted off Greenland alone in 4 years, right? A quadrillion is a thousand trillion. https://weather.com/news/clima...
First sentence: Sea level rise has been estimated to be on average between +2.6 millimetres (0.10 in) and 2.9 millimetres (0.11 in) per year ± 0.4 millimetres (0.016 in) since 1993[3] and has accelerated in recent years.[4]
They literally meant colder from last month. Exactly the same as the Hawaii senator holding a snow ball, or Trump saying it's colder during a snowstorm.
These people are guiding science funding at a national level. And literally don't understand seasons, much less anything at a global scale.
All of the people in Florida could fit in Wyoming, at half the population density of Florida currently (estimated in my head).
Even the worst models have water rising a few feet in 100 years. Which wipes out almost all coastal cities, but not a huge percentage of land - for the US at least. So people will have to move. Orderly. Because even at an extreme 1" per year, they can walk away from it.
Now, several other countries are truly fucked. But we don't really need a huge military increase for that.
'Tax & spend' is much more fiscally conservative than 'just spend'.
Yet Republicans claim to be fiscally conservative. They close their eyes when the R gov't spends & spends. Like it did under Bush Sr, Bush Jr, and Reagan.
So, you're ok with it? Even if they get enough in tax breaks to build a factory in Mexico for all the jobs they're shipping off? Are you ok with conservative government interfering in business?
Or do you just hate Obama because something something Fox News has the best "facts"?
In stark contrast, Obama bailed out GM, kept all 1.5 million jobs, got them to pay back the loans. With interest.
But yay for Carrier not shipping ALL their jobs to Mexico and providing a blueprint for every other company to milk the 'conservative' new government. Can Apple get a $1T tax break?
Your disclaimer is false.
The above numbers are this year's numbers. But even in a 'bust' market like say 2009, plenty are sold, like 10M vehilces
http://www.tradingeconomics.co...
Which shows that my numbers above were low -probably only cars.
~18M vehicles/year = $550B market
Just a reminder:
1. Roughly 7.7M vehicles sold every year.
2. Average prices is $33,000.
3. This makes it a $250 billion/year industry.
It's a very tempting market to get into for anyone.
Most people call those leases.
In the majority of land area, yes it is.
Since you're such an expert AC, perhaps you could tell me the percentage of land that is in winter right now?
I'll give you a hint. It's 68%.
Thus, land temps in the northern hemisphere are overweighted for the whole world.
And I'm the stupid fuck...lol.
Yes, they are.

You do know there decades of scientific fact about actual rising seas, right?
http://sealevel.colorado.edu/
Or that 2 quadrillion pounds of ice melted off Greenland alone in 4 years, right? A quadrillion is a thousand trillion.
https://weather.com/news/clima...
Like to the point that municipalities have to deal with that actuality coming soon:
http://www.miamidade.gov/plann...
Or, you're yet another Troll. I'll go with that.
Well, someone disagrees with you:

300 were never leaving. The agreement was 800 stayed. For a $7M tax break. Enough to build the factory in Mexico to house all those new jobs.
Or just get the R proposal over with, defund social security to pay for that wall.
I think I smell a Trump plan in the works...
Not disagreeing at all. And it's probably a lot easier.
But, very oddly, building dykes is probably an easier political move.
People are weird, and short sighted.
Over 100 years. Imagine the US before World War 1, imagine it now. That's the change that can happen, slowly, in 100 years. So, no, not a big deal.
Or reduce/mitigate pollution.
Which one is easier?
Well, desired land perhaps.
All of the people in Florida could fit in Wyoming, at half the population density of Florida currently (estimated in my head).

You sound exactly like you work on the @HouseScience committee.
Who yesterday tweeted out an anti climate change article. From Breitbart. Because it got colder. In winter.
Holy Fucking Shit.
https://twitter.com/HouseScien...
They never do.
The funniest/saddest part is this:
'Tax & spend' is much more fiscally conservative than 'just spend'.
Yet Republicans claim to be fiscally conservative. They close their eyes when the R gov't spends & spends. Like it did under Bush Sr, Bush Jr, and Reagan.
Was GM forced to take the deal? No
Were they given loans in exchange for stock? Yes
Is that stealing? No
Is that a normal business transaction? Yes
Also, odd that Pence has said that the government shouldn't pick winners & losers:
https://twitter.com/speechboy7...
But he & Trump are doing exactly that.
Are they lying, unethical, or just scummy? Or actually closet Democrats?
Noooo, I was agreeing with you, just adding clarification THAT YOU HADN'T INCLUDED.
You're the one who's angry for some reason.
See, I said GM paid back all their loans. Not TARP as a whole, which is what you're referring to.
And they did:
http://www.factcheck.org/2010/...
"Yes, it’s true that GM paid back its loan from the Treasury Department, in full, ahead of schedule."
One other bit of unaccounted for info.
Carrier was threatened with getting federal contracts pulled if they left.
So if they did leave, those jobs would have stayed. Maybe not in Indiana, but certainly would not have left the US.
So, your numbers are essentially meaningless.
So, you're ok with it? Even if they get enough in tax breaks to build a factory in Mexico for all the jobs they're shipping off? Are you ok with conservative government interfering in business?
Or do you just hate Obama because something something Fox News has the best "facts"?
Given that the number 20M was never in your original post/thesis, I was providing clarity for those not familiar with the data.
That's not a bad thing.
Also, U6 is lower than when Obama's policies went into effect in 2009/2010, to counteract previous admin's policies which drove it up.
Maybe I should threaten to leave.
Can I get just a $500k tax break? I'm not proud, I'd stay for that
In stark contrast, Obama bailed out GM, kept all 1.5 million jobs, got them to pay back the loans. With interest.
But yay for Carrier not shipping ALL their jobs to Mexico and providing a blueprint for every other company to milk the 'conservative' new government. Can Apple get a $1T tax break?
During Obama's term, 20 million more people have been added to the labor force.
And U6, which includes those who are 'no longer considered' has gone down a lot under Obama as well.
It's not that hard to look up..
