  1. Re:What am I, Magellan? on Catching Satnav Errors On Google Street View · · Score: 1

Google fixed the problem I reported (road had turned into a walking path) within a couple months.

The "report a problem" link on the lower right corner of the map is easy to overlook, but evidently they do read those and correct the maps.

Please write the government representatives about this issue. If only a third of comments here had been directed at people who make the decisions about this, that would make a substantial difference. You can use the petition as a starter for talking points.

  4. Eliica on Electric Cars as Fast as Ferraris · · Score: 1

The Eliica (electric lithium-ion car) was covered previously on slashdot. It already beats the Ferrari 911 Turbo (0-60mph in 4 seconds, 0-100 in 7). I really like the eight wheels.

My favorite use of Greasemonkey is the mojoDNA extension of Google Maps to include Boston's public transportation, the MBTA. It's completely seamless!

Try Homewold, by Sierra. It is windows only as far as I know, and I think it's worth porting. It's realtime strategy mixed with space sim.
