Well there is already an open source project that does that, AMP. The people that does AMP also has a commercial version call voxbox.

Maybe the writer wrote what he/she thought was the closest spelling and the spell checker ended up with that word. But of course that spell checker has one large vocabulary.
I thought broadcast HD signal has MPEG2 stream embedded in it. All the tuner card does it de-modulate the HD signal and the computer save the MPEG2 stream to your hard drive. BTW, a very large MPEG2 file. I think most of the stand alone HD recorders will down compress the MPEG2 video to use up less space. So computer base HD tuners are the way to go, if you want the highest quality.
This site has been offering RSS feed of links to BitTorrent animes for couple of months. Firefox and RSS reader extension are great for pulling down all BitTorrent links.
