You can help them to build a website, or create a donor's database ... and you do it pro-bono, you need to commit a few hours a week for six months. I have been working with them for a couple of months and it has been a good experience.

To everyone screaming how idiotic it is that medical devices have Windows on them: ... Why? Because it's widely supported

Can you explain this a little bit more. No patches sound does not sound like widely supported to me.

I completely agree. Cities were designed share infrastructure. We share the electricity, water, internet, garbage collection. But for some reason we decide that transportation shall not be shared and everybody needs to get a huge box to move everywhere. This killing the cities.

Building a public transportation is the real solution. A huge infrastructure investment on public transportation similar to the one last century to build the highway system makes perfect sense to generate the government investment needed to reactivate the economy.

In Mexico all citizens needs an ID card to be able to vote. This ID has some personal information like your full name, address, date of birth, photograph, fingerprint, and signature. The Mexican government puts a lot of effort to make sure that the data is correct and accurate. The census is so accurate that right now it is the only valid ID to cash a check or as a proof of age. Before this accurate census was made the official party at that time made huge election fraud election after election. To fight this problem the opposition (left and right parties) pushed to this schema to have fair elections. In the particular case of Mexico, having a national wide ID program give Mexico a more fair democratic system. On the dark side this census was bought by an American company giving a large identity theft

  9. Re:Yes, it's real and yes (personal expirience) on Neural Feedback Training as Therapy for ADHD? · · Score: 1
I have been in a neurofeed back treatment, not for ADHD but for stammer, and it works.

Let me try to explain how does it work. Imagine that you are some weakness in your legs and you are not able to walk. You can have some therapy and you will know when you are walking because you are moving. Now imaging that instead of walking you cannot be in a certain mental state called "concentrated" you can make a lot of different kind of therapies to try to get into this state. How can I know if I am really getting concentrated or not? Here is where neurfeed back come into the game, by looking you brain waves (or some front-end easy to read interface) you can know when are you concentrated or not. Cause you know does it feels get concentrated you can learn to do it without any feedback.

While I was in therapy I talked with people with ADHD and all of them agreed that neurofeed back helped them as a trainer for knowing how to concentrate.
