Correct me if I am wrong, but this law simply restricts minors from purchasing/renting "violent" games without their parents' knowledge. This simply forces the parents to get involved. If a parent doesn't think that the game is too violent, then that parent can simply authorize the purchase (ie: purchase it for the child). This law seems to really be made for parents who don't care to get involved with their child; it simply governs the child when the parents fail to.

Only $280,000 (roughly) to send someone (200lb) into orbit. Sweet. Now, they couldn't market this to people wanting to go into space since I doubt this covers reentry, but I imagine it could be marketed to people wanting to send other people into low-earth orbit.

They invented a new technology to combat clogged up wi-fi networks; they are called CAT5 cables. You can plug them between your cable modem and your computer and have up to 1Gbps all to yourself!

  4. What? A serious answer? on What Interests High-School Students? · · Score: 1

They will be interested in something that has a useful/cool product. Things that don't result in anything are boring.

For example: Building projectile weaponry is cool, thus a teen would be interested in it.

Another example: Learning about circuitry by making a useful device has a practical/useful product, thus a teen would be interested in it.

Also, avoid things that won't be immediately applicable to them. Subjects that have no purpose in their lives are boring. If you can somehow use the subject matter to create useful/practical things (see above), then they will be interested.
