Actually Apple (or the RIAA) has pretty much crippled some of the best features of iPhoto and iMovie. You can no longer burn a CD or DVD with DRM protected music from your iTunes library and have the photo slideshow or movie play on someone elses computer.
From Transitive's own press release, they indicate that they will be exhibiting at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston on September 20-23 at the Software Developers Conference. http://www.transitive.com/news.htm
The Hynes Convention Center is hosting the SDC on September 20-23 http://www.mccahome.com/hynes/default.aspx
And the SDC lists Transitive as an exhibitor at the conference. http://www.cmpevents.com/SDe4/a.asp?option=H and http://www.cmpevents.com/SDe4/a.asp?option=H&V=13& MgEid=1455&X=1
Well actually all the PM G4s have giga, the G5s, all PBs starting with TiPB 667s, including the recent aluminum books, except the 12"
Basically, for the last couple of years, with the exception of the 12" aluminum book, all of Apple's pro-line has had gigabit ethernet.
Who's to say that this hasn't already been exploited? Even by M$ themselves...(not meant to be flamebait).
Why broadcast (worms, etc.) these exploits, when they can be kept for "use" at a later time. If this is sounding paranoid, then so be it.

I don't have a sig yet.
This has been a banner month for M$: first, myDoom.a, then myDoom.b, then Doomjuice, followed by two of the most critical security vulnerabilities, now leaked source code.... They say your entire life flashes before your eyes in the final seconds, I sure hope BillG is enjoying that BSOD.

I have no idea what was posted above, but I enjoy reading the banter, especially on the odd chance that I may actually learn something.
I am a longtime Mac user but have no illusions that OS X is "invulnerable." I do like the way my macs run, they do everything I need them to do, and even though I take precautions, I am pleased that they are somewhat more secure than boxes running a Windows OS.
I think it is cool that within hours of posting a vulnerability, that there are people in the open source community with the skills to post a potential fix. Guess, I'll have to wait for Apple to post a security fix, though for it to be usable for me.
Anyway thanks for letting me intrude in this highly technical/informative thread.

I am pretty disappointed at this turn of events.
A two button mouse . . . who cares.
I expect nothing less than a No button mouse from Apple!
When the bots become self aware, then it is time to worry.

Interesting? Probably not a hoax.

Will M$ use nationalized colors for the BSOD?
