Nope its a 4th gen. This is from the creator in the article discussion:
As many have mis-read. This is not a old generation iPod with a scroll wheel.
This is a 4th generation iPod with touch click wheel.
It is held together by little tabs.
Agreed. Not intending to troll, but I must at least hint that predjudices outside North American borders may be confirmed by this blatant over-simplification and politicisation important issues to the point where they are, well, cartoons.
I guess the spelling of politicisation might make this a troll after all, nevertheless I would be disappointed if slashdot readers found such an 'article' +5 informative as opposed to +/-5 comfortably-easy-to-understand-and-therefore-agree -with.
Consider this an experiment in Global Village politics. I have nothing against 'graphic novels', only cartoons.
Well, I'd like to offer a different experience....
Alternatively, Imagine the job I took as a builders labourer for 12 months after the.com crash - Not as good money certainly, but enough excercise for me to get quite fit, trim the extra fat away, and bulk up a little. I recieved a decent wage for a job I am not still toiling/worying over at 11.00pm, a useful new set of skills that have served me well, no moronic management getting in the way of doing a good job (Though 'owner builders' were usually a pain in the ass), and -in Australia at least- tradespeople are generally friendly, nice people.
The back problems I had from sitting at the PC every day for 7 years went away within a month, I enjoyed mornings again, programmed for fun in my _spare_time_ and got alot of job satisfaction. I'm back in IT now and finally making cash again as a contractor, but if I get stuck again I won't think twice.
In my experience, nerds can actually do OK in construction - on a jobsite, being intelligent is a genuine advantage - the crew like people who understand things first time, and who speak up if they have questions (Failure to do these two things is what results in low productivity and, more importantly, injuries). You do have to be able get on with people though - I find the best way to do this is to pretend you care about sport, and refrain from making it obvious if you think you are better than the people around you.
A friend of mine who stuck with it was a site manager within a year - he is making as much as most programmers here, is fit and happy. He gets to see his fiancee alot more now. Oh yes, and I got to use a Ramset gun to punch nails through steel beams. That was cool.
I live in Australia (with but not of) and I must say that I buy alot more music now simply because I now know enough about what I like to spot the bargains. To give far to many clues about my age and preferences, I picked up The Jesus and Mary Chain 'Psychocandy' at JB Hi-Fi for $AU14 yesterday and continually find that most of the stuff that was on my teen-angst wish list is now in the sub-$15 category...
I am sure it helps to have musical taste that is less than fashionable, but the point still stands that even in the mainstream record stores there are bargains to be had that doubtlessly increase my overall CD spend markedly.
As for your point about reviews, I could not agree more... I used to write them for a college mag, and you would recieve a "Press release" containing everything they wanted you to say AND a free CD. The choice was obvious - Paraphrase the propaganda and keep the CD, or do real work.
The first major difference that jumps out in the Yahoo results is the preference Yahoo's algorithm seems to have for more words on a page.
This seems to favour not only keyword density, but also dense wording in general. Please don't tell the marketing dept. I nearly had them believing that less is more...
I recently coded a retro arcade game for an ad agency. We used (with permission) SID chip music for the soundtrack. I don't remember exactly where it came from (That was the designer's responsibillity) but it does appear that there are still people who take the SID chip extremely seriously... Come to think of it, this is/. so they are probably reading this...
See previous story . Kids today .....

... for which we do not yet have an adequate probelm
I just hope it is compatible with the old games.
According to a followup to the original 'leaked images' post"All games will be compatible with both versions of the N-Gage, however"
They also say no MP3 player or radio in the new version.
I'm not entirely sure about that ...

Yeah, well I contract to a law firm - brown nosing is mandatory- therefore by the commutative law I have the worst of both worlds.
From the article:
QT 6.5-MPEG-4:Pros: Decent image quality
Cons: Horrible image quality
What gives? I guess it could be alluding to the tradeoff between the two, but it seems like an odd thing to say.

I'll be needing a WAV file for the tape drive version (Though I don't think there was one) ... my 1541 gave up years ago ....
