I agree with the subject that text can be very intimate. For some people it is hard to express their feelings face to face with someone. I find it easier to express myself through IM/email/writing because it gives you time to put your thoughts into order. At the same time I think it's more rewarding to do it face to face with the person but IM could be the first steps toward pvp intimacy.
I've never been able to ask my parents real* intimate question but if they used IM things would be easier. If they laugh you can just warn em a bunch!
When I look back on BBSs the first thing that pops up is softcore.gifs. Didn't use them for anything else...thank god for highspeed internet access..now I can get porn at like..10xs the speed! Also, my local dialup ISP had some kind of BBS that I duped into allowing me two login sessions on my account so me and my friend could play multiplayer Dukenukem:P Goodtimes
I agree. I don't really see any harm in calling the game Mythica. It's not like they're calling it Dark Ages of Camelota. As far as similar content goes, take a look for yourself:
Mythica and DAOC
Interestingly, if you go here,the name of one "plane of existance" is called Midgard, as is the name of one of three realms in DAOC. Same legends aside, after visiting Mythica's page, I get visions of a 3D diablo 2 with a cracked out battle.net riding shotgun, not really DAOC. No mention of massive PVP, which in my opinion is what makes DAOC. I don't see a reason for Mythic to panic. DAOC is far more intriguing and well thought out imho.
