Depends on your driving habits. I speed. I also haven't (knock wood) gotten in an accident in 10 years, and I haven't received a ticked in four (in my province). Does that not make me a safe driver? I don't think so personally.

Great word to use; it has negative connotations even if you use it out of the legalease context. It's basically a trap to get you to give up your civil rights in exchange for a discount.

However in the world of enterprise RDBMS's, that's one of the key points about stored procs is the ability to cache the execution plan of a stored proc; Oracle, MSSQL, Sybase, etc.

Actually Nero gives you the option to verify what you've recorded if you like.

That's why nero's so great. It's about options. You can burn almost anything in Nero, and it's always kept updated. Nero updates are way more frequent than EZCD.

EZCD is good for N00bs. Thing is, i've convinced every n00b I know to switch to Nero with a five minute tutorial.

    eBay is to Yahoo Auctions

    iTunes is to Napster

First-Past-The-Post wins... And conversely market share wins.

Ebay wins because it's the best place to go to get market value for your product. If you want to sell something, your best chance is eBay. More bidders = more sellers = even more bidders = even more sellers, etc etc...

iTunes wins because it has the most consumers for the record labels. It has the purchasing power over the record labels, not Napster. iTunes can get the record companies to drool over their market share.

Not necessarily dumb IMHO. See, what they are doing is getting money against the future sales of EZCD (at some reduced percentage) to finance operations of Napster. It's actually a smart move to increase working capital today.

I still think it's doomed, but adding the capital from it is a good business idea if they want the Napster idea to take off.

Views do not cache execution plans like stored proccedures do, and views cannot accept parameters.

Stored Procs cache the execution plan and accept parameters. Huge difference.

IMHO Functions are closer to it than views.

AFAIK, PostgreSQL can't return recordsets from stored procedures. Really, you shouldn't have to IMHO. Stored procedures are really important for inserts and updates, and transaction locking and stuff. That's the critical use for stored procs. Returning recordset is a nice-to-have, but you can make due without.

Still better than any MySQL support for stored procs anyway.

Basically the editors are assuming it's bad because in a sea of competition, Napster's at the back of the heap. iTunes benefits from first-past-the-post, and a tonne of working capital. Microsoft's will benefit from their monopoly and a tonne of Capital. Really, Napster has less money than most of its competitors, and the competition's become very cutthroat.

It's gone from a non existant market to a highly competitive one. Good luck. Nero's way better than EZCD anyway. Less bloatware garbage gui crap than EZCD IMHO.

And the funny part is that we get the same media that America does, so blaming TV and movies is horse shit too. Our per-capita gun ownership is really high -> one in three families have a firearm. However our gun related death rate per capita pales in comparison to the US. We use our guns to kill Moose and Bears, rather than our fellow man. It's the nature of our country to need guns.

You need to look at the attitude of the nation towards violence, rather than at the gun control laws. If y'all behave like a bunch of redneck hillbillies, then you shouldn't have guns.
