  1. weird on Pandora Stabilizes, No Longer Completely Free · · Score: 1

Weird, I just subscribed to Pandora last week. Well, I guess it's not that weird. It's something though.

  2. Re:Allow me to break this down... on iTunes On OS X Finally Has Competition · · Score: 1

I guess I don't really need to pipe up here since you've said it all so eloquently. I am amazed at how people are bagging on iTunes when they obviously have no idea how it works. Pretty funny stuff.

  3. No mercy for the weak on Metallica May Follow In Footsteps of Radiohead, NIN · · Score: 1

No, people should never be forgiven for having different views than mine. Even if they change their mind later they should always be reminded that I was right first. If someone changes their mind on a subject they are just being hypocritical, you should take all your opinions with you to the grave. George Bush never wavered on his views, did he? If someone tries to make a living off music or art they are a sell out. They should all be true artists, suffering and poor, like the common people, like John Lennon. When I get paid for my work it's a totally different thing. bb

  4. Re:Damned liars ! on Moore's Law For Razor Blades? · · Score: 1

I've been using the classic safety razor for almost a year and it's great. I couldn't believe it. it's one of those things where the "new and improved" isn't. I got tired of trying to remember which blade fit which razor (I've got a drawer full of every kind). I realized this was not an accident, they keep changing the razors so you have to buy their blades and more of them. there was never anything wrong with the safety razor, it's just about controlling the market, IMHO. the safety razors work great. no clogging, and although it is easier to cut yourself in theory I haven't had a single cut of any size in the year I've been using them. you have to learn to do it a little differently though, mostly just be a little more careful and you don't press down, they're so sharp you just glide it across your face. since you're not pressing down razor burn is not really a problem either. I also use the brush and cake shaving cream. the staight razor is a little too hardcore and too much work for me. I've purchased from classicshaving.com and they're good. bb

  5. coffee soda on Coca-Cola's Coffee Soda · · Score: 1

Starbucks used to have a coffee soda called Mazagran (I think with Pepsi) many years ago but it seems like only 3 people in the world remember it. I found it once on the web somewhere. There's also smaller companies that make coffe soda already, like Borgnine's. Yes, that's Ernset Borgnine's daughter. I'm not sure if it's still around but there are some other coffee soda's out there.

  6. I don't feel safer on Security Tips for Traveling with Tech Gear · · Score: 1

I'm not sure what is supposed to make us feel safer but it doesn't work for me. On the other hand I have never really felt threatened. About a year after 09.11 I went the airport with my hard drive case. The drives contained an album I was working on. Besides the obvious danger of damage if I checked them, it was material by a major artist that I couldn't let out of my sight. Picture a medium sized (18" x 12" x 8"?) Pelican case, with custom foam inserts and four Kingston SCSI removable carriers w/drives lined up in there. When I got to the security check I was thinking I couldn't imagine anything that would look more like bombs! It looked like a bomb from an old Bond movie or something, it just needed a big red LED display to be complete. I was prepared for a big explanation. I have no way to mount these, obviously! This is what I got; Pause, open case, blank stare, "what is that?" , I reply "hard drives", more blank stare, obviously not sure what a hard drive is, "OK", close case. end of security measures. I haven't had much faith in security since then. I can remember only one time that I had to turn on my notebook at security. It's not a problem because it's always just sleeping, but they never ask. Maybe they think no one would blow up an ibook?
