I definitely would buy and move in since I am in the St. Louis area. Within a few years i'd love to buy my own house, and at $4,500, what a deal:) You probably have to put a lot of work into it though, eh? -motardo
I was wondering if this would create a new workers union like carpenters or plumbers, but the new union would be network installers or something. just a thought and question. -motardo
no matter how many times I watch that cartoon, it cracks me up each and every time. The other people at work here like it also, like the middle-aged people, I find it quite amusing. -motardo
> Nice theory, but that doesn't explain why the most frequently pirated artists on Napster are Kid Rock, Limp Bizkit, and Britney Spears. If people think that the music is crap and won't buy it, then why are they still listening to it and illegally stealing it?
I don't listen to that music, and I'm not pirating it:P I can't stand pop music, I prefer electronic stuff like drum 'n bass and goa
OK, the real reason why sales are slumping is because all of the music that is coming out of the "popular" groups is crap. Who in their right mind really buys any of the fake and boring music out there like Kid Rock and Limp Bizkit and Britney Spears? But, on the other hand, I believe that blaming Napster for the only cause of them not selling as many cd's is just ludicrous. I am in no way trying to be flamebait or lame, and I don't advocate pirating mp3's at all. I have never even liked napster, all the program is is just another hopped-up IRC client. ok, that's the end of my rant, I'm just sick of hearing how Napster is ruining the music business. There's even going to be a show on MTV called "Napster: Grand Theft Audio" on tonight, where they're going to interview the creators of Napster and get their opinion of the whole Napster craze.
Too bad there's not a keyboard for the TI-85, because using the alpha keys would be too time consuming, especially since it takes you forever to type in stuff. Just imagine, you'd time out like 10 times trying to log into a shell:P -motardo
The virus takes it's name randomly from the recent documents folder, so I was wondering if there is nothing in that folder, what would happen? -motardo
> I thought that because the Crusoe had a x86 translator you would just use the existing version of Linux. you know what? now that I think about it, it was mobile linux, not full blown linux. -motardo
I was wondering if there has been any prices quoted on any of the devices that the crusoe chip is going to be in. Does anyone here know how far along the linux port has come for the processor also? thanks, motardo
Trying to find a part-time job took me over three months, and within that three months, I only had gotten two responses (including my current job). I did have many offers to work full-time, but with me being a full-time student, I would have such a tough time doing that. -motardo
This would also make downloading the programming information much faster also, BUT imagine if there was a way for someone to plant a virus onto the Hard Disk, or something. Another neat thing if this thing had an ethernet plug is that you could possibly pull the programming from the TiVo onto your PC so you could archive it. Just my thoughts -motardo
just to let you know, there's also traditional VCR's that are able to stop taping once a commercial comes on, and pick up once the programming starts again. -motardo
If we all could have our own satellites..

that is the same exact idea that the dialectizer is doing, i think that it's bull-hockey for them to do that to him
well, technically, the 21st century starts on 2001 :) -motardo
at least it's not a G4 solar storm :)

i think the japanese have much worse things to worry about than a stupid dvd hack, what about that volcano? :P

I'd only be happy if this worked with my BP6.

is so great, there are so many great minds continually thinking up these great ideas. It really makes me wish i could code :P

this is just a norm (unwritten rule).
