  1. Re:I like that... on ACLU Creates Map of US "Constitution-Free Zone" · · Score: 2, Insightful

I like that Michigan is one of the few elite states that is entirely within the constitution free zone. WOOO go us!

As a fellow Michigan resident, I'm not so thrilled.

Oh come on. That pesky constitution was just slowing us down. Now we can spend more time thinking about the children

    1. You can't (and won't ever be able to) buy one.

If I showed up with a suitcase of cash after the attempt had been completed, I would think they would be happy to take my money. Also, by this reasoning any sort of limited-numbers, not-for-public-consumption car (prototypes, racers, etc) are also not cars.

If you find a way to fit that much cash into a suitcase, tell me where you found your Bag of Holding.

Oh my god....I think that might be the first time I've actually seen someone fix something when they say that.....

    Of course,
because European countries would never take your silence after being arrested to be proof of guilt, or put cameras everywhere and keep track of god-knows-what, or have strong restrictions on gun ownership.

you're exactly right. Europe is a bastion of civil liberties and they have almost no government interference in their citizens lives.

I know that everyone loves to hate the U.S. and I'm not happy with the way things are going here. I am not, however, convinced that I would be happier (and safer) somewhere else.

  5. Re:Why do we need this? on PRO-IP and PIRATE Acts Fused Into New Bill · · Score: 2, Informative

But it is wrong that it even got introduced. It would be like introducing a bill that allowed the government to take whatever you owned with no warrant and the ability to sell that at auctions. Sure that bill wouldn't get voted in, and hopefully the supreme court would find it un-constitutional, but it shouldn't have gotten introduced.

They can't take whatever you own, just cash that has traces of narcotics on it (>90% of bills in circulation) or a car that had traces of drugs in it.

It's called civil asset forfeiture. See Downsize DC for more information.

  7. Nuclear Reactors on Ethanol to Hydrogen Reactor Developed · · Score: 1

What we need is a really psycho, really integrated solution. Sunlight is used to grow corn, which is harvested by tractors powered by ethanol. The corn is converted into ethanol, and distilled using heat from nucelar reactors, killing two birds with one stone. Then the ethanol is used to power cars etc.
    Viola!! No fossil fuels required.
We would have to tell the public without using the N word though.....

I think we need to point out the action that _can_ be attributed to the Linux community. Other than flame wars and mod whores that "support" the virus, we have groklaw and google bombs. By far the most maliscious thing we have done to SCO is call them litigious bastards. While it is theoretically one of us wrote the virus, it is certian that most of us participated in the google bomb.
