MS had intentionally named their products after generic terms They also choose generic names for practically everything (ever sucessfully find something on Micro$oft's website? Ever try to program in wondoze?) This also explains why after so many versions of their OS there are still enough bugs in each to keep the "exterminators" busy for the next decade. Name collisions are going to be the undoing of microsoft.
