Broadcast television is free. Comedy Central shows uncensored movies at 1am mondays, I think.
And is it really keeping you from expressing yourself if you can say anything but a few four letter words? If you're the kind of person who has to throw in a "fuckin'" every 30 seconds you probably don't have something very important to say.
But if you can't say it without being vulgar, you can still say it. And that's the real meaning of freedom of expression right there.
And you're confusing federal budgets with state budgets. My roads are well kept and cleared, because my town took responsiblilty for the local roads. The State keeps the Mass Pike clear and repaired.. We won't mention the Big Dig. So don't bring that up.
We lost a lot of federal money for schools when Bush took over, that's true, but we managed to build replacement schools for schools built in ~1900 and we can keep our teachers, not well paid, but paid.

You may not think so, and five other people posting here may not think so, but when you say "2 gig processor, 900 meg processor" you sound like a complete idiot.
How the english language has evolved in relation to tech terms is that "gig" and "meg" refer to storage mediums, and you report the speed of the processor as "mhz" or "ghz"
Unless you're thinking outside the box, and in that case.. get back inside, it's cold out.

America was originally settled by people escaping religious persecution, if that's what you mean.. but if you really look in on it, the founding fathers were pissed about their taxes and wanted local control.

Some may think I'm making that up, but I shit you not, that's what the kid said.
I didn't get a chance to actually roleplay, so I didn't judge it there, other than saying it reminded me a lot of Diablo.

You CAN pirate the games and play on private servers. You won't get the same level of support as the official servers, but you can play the game for free. DAOC has some free servers, so does WoW.
Look around and I'm sure other games also have free "private" servers.
Actually, I don't have any friends (Note how I'm always posting on/.) and was just as amazed as you were when I saw that someone had modded me up a whole lot.
From the article: "The main claim to fame of GuildWars is being the only MMORPG without a monthly fee. It will be interesting to see how that business model works out. Is it really the monthly fee that stops a MMORPG from greatness, or is it the nerdy gameplay?"
When I played outside the "mission zones" the only people I saw were NPCs.
That's Massive in that "There's so much room you won't find other people" but not Massive in that "There are thousands of other people playing along with you"
And, as I said, the game's more like Diablo but without all the fun bits.. But if you like it, that's your opinion. And it's wrong.
I don't really think Guild Wars is a MMOG, and here's why:
In a game like WoW or CoH, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of people in the same zone as you. In Guild Wars, you're either running around solo or you're joining one of the raids that has a cap of 6 (I think) members per group. Is 6 Massive? If so, StarCraft has that beat with 8.
RPG? Maybe, I played in the open beta and all the new characters started with the best weapons and armor and some high level. You weren't really given a chance to role play, so I can't judge it there.
All in all, it felt like Diablo. But Diablo with less fun.
Actually, a real lynching is when a man is hung from a tree by the neck. And while he is still alive and choking.. you light him on fire.
It's not just a hanging without a trial, you need the fire to make a true lynching.

I said they did not want to pay high taxes.
And who said "Taxes are theft"?
I agree with this guy. Locking us in. Where do I sign up for the free money?

At least you're pointing out things to people in your age group..
Oh, and douche bag is two words.

You don't measure processor speed in "gigs"
Unless you happen to work at Radio Shack or Best Buy, if that's the case you are excused for being half retarded.

That has nothing to do with anything we were talking about.
He claimed that you cannot pirate a MMOG, I said you could and that people are doing it daily.
Some people would rather play for free with 15-20 friends of ~100 clan members than pay to play with a bunch of assholes spamming the general chat.
Did you try.. using google? I searched for Private WoW Server and found this.
Notice how I said "So I can't judge it there."
I didn't get a chance to actually roleplay, so I didn't judge it there, other than saying it reminded me a lot of Diablo.

What's that you say?
4-8 Isn't MASSIVE. Balance is all fine and dandy, but the game isn't Massive. Maybe they should call it
"A small group of people playing at the same time online slightly role playing game"
When I played outside the "mission zones" the only people I saw were NPCs.
That's Massive in that "There's so much room you won't find other people" but not Massive in that "There are thousands of other people playing along with you"

That the earth is really on the back of four elephants, who are in turn, on the back of a giant turtle.
